BaD Day 16: No Theme Theme: I Played Some Games

So this is the final week of BaD. I’m a little bummed it’s almost over but we get a bonus day on Saturday. I really should write something on the 29th as well. One of the coolest things I’ve done gaming wise on Feb. 29th is get a platinum in Lego Pirates of the Caribbean. On my broken PS3 my game save still lives. I don’t have anything like that planned for this year’s 29th unless I really grind on a game.

So surprise I did play something not named Gems of Wars this week. Crazy, right?

Division 2 - PC: I’m back in the mood with the Division’s crazy universe despite the Sega CD-like load time in the beginning. I’m starting to channel my inner John Wick in this universe by running around shooting at bad guys, shooting at other bad guys, and then shooting the original bad guy again. I mixed that in with my usual guns blazing without a plan which is a lot of fun in some games but it destroys that k/d ratio. Actually now I’m getting back into the groove of using your surroundings to protect you as well as that robot gun that you can toss into an open area and it shoots at all the bad guys. I finished my first real mission last night and the big boss I actually went full John Wick and shot him in the face. Good ol’ fashion fun.

Ridge Racer: Unbounded - PC: I wanted to race and this was the only game on my laptop hard drive so I raced. Apparently I lost my game save so once again I had to start over, but this time it was a lot easier and I am almost back to where I left off. If you haven’t played this game it tries to be like Burnout except it feels a lot slower and the crashes are not as fun. I like it for what it is.

Other game randoms:

-I started playing Punch Out on the SNES and Tecmo Bowl on the NES apps for Nintendo Online. Tecmo Bowl is a lot faster than I remember it, and I never played Punch Out on the SNES and its fun. It reminds me of the old boxing game that was in the Google Play Store when I first got my Android phone.

-In Gems of War I got a promotion to some rando rank. It’s cool I like the casual feel of the guild and I actually want to play more because of it. Weird.

Alright Pixlpeeps I am off, have a good one.

That’s all for now, more tomorrow!

John Wick needs his own game and I want another Burnout.

Oh a John Wick game would be a lot of fun. So much violence, and gold coins.

I've never played Ridge Racer Unbounded, but I hear it's totally different than other Ridge Racer titles.

Yeah it's darker, you build up your special and you can ram through special walls, and take out opponents. It's different than the games you see on PS2, and PSP.

I remember why I wanted to play Division 2. It's in Washington DC, right? And they have various museums rendered in the game. I want to see those.

Ridge Race Unbounded is by BugBear makers of the Flatout series. I might still have this game still shrink wrapped. I never got to it but I liked some of the Flatout games and wanted to try it out.

Yep your character goes to DC to help out. I haven't played a bunch but it will be interesting to see how they handle some of those places.

I should try the Flatout series and see how it compares to Ridge Racer

I liked the first Flatout on Xbox a lot especially the minigames where you have to fling your driver out of the car into targets. The other Flatouts are just ok. I never liked their driving controls all that much. Not as good as Burnout.
