I have said this before and I shall say it again. I am glad I am sitting out the Next-gen consoles... I will now focus more on my older consoles and working on getting my Atari 400, Coleco, Etc. I may  pick up the ouya, just because I see a lot of potential for that little cude. I wish Sega would do another system or Atari come back to life. Anyway, people are going to love them and they will sell but just not to this gamer.

They are sucking the fun out of gaming for me. I was heavy Xbox 360 until Sony did not release GoW III on the PS2, So I jumped on the bandwagon, but that was years after the system came out. Hell I have not gotten the new GoW because I want some older games for my PS2 and NES.

I'm with ya Larry. I think I may be done with modern gaming. Other than buying random stuff off Steam. I've been trying to focus on completing my NES and SNES collection lately. I've noticed that prices are going up.

Tell me about prices...LOL. I looked up the Summon Night games for the PSP ( Only avalible in Japan) and they want 80 - 200 bucks for them. I have the first two on GBA. they have five in total.

I just want to focus on collecting now.

I just got home from work so I haven't read anything about the new Xbox announcements.  As soon as it has enough fun games that I want to play, then I'll really be interested.

I think you are better off giving the Wii U your full support.

Im sticking with modern gaming, Sony and Nintendo still have my attention. Im excited for what the PS4 is gonna bring game wise. Microsoft however prolly wont see a purchase from me unless they bust out some really good game franchises I like playing on their systems and after the system has been out for maybe 1 year or even 2.

After watching the news of the next Xbox, I think i'll just stick to a Wii U. Its the internet issues and the fees to play used games that really turn me off.

I may get a Wii U. It all depends on the Next Zelda and if they do a Mario Strikers for it.

I don't really understand the Ouya, saw an unboxing of it on IGN and it just looked like an emulator in a box. I may or may not skip this generation like the last one, but I'm really still leaning towards a PS3, cause it'll be cheap and have tons of games for it by the time these sytems come out. Especially if I get a first-generation one with Backwards Compatibility.

Joe, it is like Matt said. You can develope games for it and play games that others have made. 99 bucks for a system with all that potential is well worth it.

I'm actually extremely grateful now that I waited so long to buy a PS3 (I got one last year lol). So now I have plenty of time to catch up on the PS3 library while the next-gen consoles tank out

Same here. I knew I would eventually get one but I was not in a hurry. Then they came out with GoW III and figured it was time to get one. Now though there is not a game that will pull me to a next gen console, not for all the hassle of owning one.

a lot of people talk crap about the Ouya, but for a guy developing his own video game it's very exciting because anybody can develop for it.  I think a lot of people neglect this fact.  I'm going to get one when it finally comes out, because I really believe in that idea and want to support it.

Not me. As soon as I read about one and saw it I started telling everyone. I think some great Indie games will be made for it.

I was actually thinking that sega should have jumped back into consoles.  They could have pre-empted microsoft and sony and screwed them both.

Same here. I really think the Saturn turned their stomach a little to much for console gaming. Which I think they had a good Idea that did not get translated well to it.

They made me very cautious after the whole Red Ring Of Death fiasco. I will certainly not be fighting to get one this holiday season. Only time will tell if the games pull me in. Right now I am beyond "meh!" about the XBOX One. I don't play sports titles much,so a lot of their push made me yawn and stretch.

Being a Launch Day Xbox 360 owner I know about that ring LOL. although I had mine for a couple of years before it craped on me. I was still impressed by the system and I want a slim version. Hopefuly the 250gigs will come down soon.

It looks like we'll be doing similar things; I'll also be diverting all my time, energy, and money towards my legacy consoles than to the new hardware.  The new games are hewing too close to being services and that doesn't appeal to me.  Everything reeks of monetization, all the way down to the system-level DRM, and I don't care to support or invest in that kind of entertainment.

honestly if I am going to throw down money, I am going to do it on the old school stuff. This next gen is just getting out of hand.
