My family and I are on a budget, and within it, everybody gets a little monthly spending money.  My wife buys typical wifely things like clothes, jewelry, stuff like that.  The kids don't get a whole lot, but they spend it on kid stuff.  Candy, a toy, whatever.  I am also fairly predictable in my own spending habits.  I almost always buy the same thing:  Video Games.

So I’ve got this goat.  I have no idea where he came from, he just appeared in my house one day, in a closet to be precise.  I came home from work and heard a chewing, scratching noise from said closet, so I grabbed a baseball bat, opened the door and there he was.  He had what looked like a big yellow glowing flea collar on his neck and he was soaking wet.  If you think that’s weird, just you wait. 

Just a quick update

So for this one we’re going to have to go way back in time to 1989.  I was in fourth grade, Super Mario Brothers 3 had been out for a little while, and I was in the hospital.  I had left school in the middle of the day in extreme pain in my abdomen and after being examined by the school nurse, my mother, who worked nearby, rushed me to the hospital.  After being stabbed with an IV and having my temperature taken in the most uncomfortable way I’ve ever experienced, I was diagnosed with an inflamed appendix.  Rather than operate on me immediately, the doctor wanted to admit me and observe me overnight.  It was miserable.

I just got back from being out of work three days straight with a nasty sinus infection.  I got off easy, my wife was out all last week with the same thing.  With not being able to really get any housework done I did what any true geek would do in my situation would do and turned on my Xbox 360.  Dark Souls has been living in my disk tray since the day it came out, but I honestly felt more like something a little less punishing.  Chicken soup for the gamer's soul if you will.  I took a look at my backlog:  Arkham Asylum... no.  Deus Ex, eh... not yet. Hmmm... Tales of Vesperia.  I heard good things about this one, and a good JRPG would feel just right about now, so I pop it in and install it.
