Chris Goes To Hawaii Part I

Posted on 11/24/2016 at 01:24 AM | Filed Under Blogs

That's cool. I was a little hesitant to run it on my laptop because I haven't heard about it.

Oh believe me I wasn't planning on it, but there were moments when I was tired and I just wanted to rest. The positive was that I didn't keep up with what was on TV, new podcasts, what was happening on various websites (message boards) I just checked Twitter maybe once or twice a day and that was it.

If/when you visit Hawaii, I'd say bring the 3DS and just try to collect Mii's.

Yeah my aunt and uncle have the rule because of the things they see on TV. There are some weird folks out there. A lot of folks need to follow that rule. Heck if they did I would probably play online a lot more.

I'm going to post pics either on Friday or Monday, and yeah it was chillin' but my day started at 6am and I was really looking forward to sleeping on the plane and then spending some relaxation time on the islands.

STEAM SALE!

So far I spent $15 on the Air Land and Sea DLC for Just Cause 3, Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition, and both Halo Spartan games. The only drawback is now JC 3 there's a problem with keys and it looks like a patch problem. Oh well I can wait.

You're preaching to the choir about Facebook. It seemed like everyone regardless of party preference had an opinion. What was the most frustrating thing was people my age who never voted all of a sudden became political and posted tons of stories, opinions, etc. Where was this energy in previous elections? It's like a bandwagon in sports, no opinion one day, and the next apparently they became hardcore fans. I think some were doing it just go along with the wave. Just like you and a couple of friends who I know follow the stuff, I kept my mouth shut let them throw out whatever nonsense they needed to get off their chest and that was that. I also made use of the feature to hide posts.

I agree that media is leaning, that's why I like local news (thank you small town.) The majority of their stuff is news around the area, and like I wrote in replying to Asreal, I like Twitter because people are voicing their opinions. You might not agree with those opinions but I want to see what other people think.

I wonder about that as well. I can see certain issues they will but for other things like having term limits they will probably fight him on it. There are a lot of career politicans who don't want to lose their jobs.

A couple of folks I know who are Eagles fans hate that the Cowboys are called America's Team. Because of that I only refer to Dallas as America's Team Tongue Out

I helped my grandfather vote by mail but I like walking into the polling place and going through the motions. The vibe of standing in a little box drawing lines (my county is full on paper ballots.) Its interesting you see the media like that because my view is the media has been leaning left throughout the elections. At this point I no longer watch national news, I watch local news (small town has its pluses), I see what people are talking about on Twitter, and I added a liberal podcast to my podcast playlist to go along with my conservative podcast. I figured between them I can kind of get an objective take.

I've been telling people to calm down, the guy isn't in office yet and we don't know how he is going to be. He can surround himself with people who can be really good, and so far from the release of his plan for the first 100 days has items like term limits on Congress which I really like and McConnell does not. He has dug himself a huge hole with the things he's said but just like every President before him, I'll give him a shot. If he fails then in four years we have another election and hopefully the elections from this point on will have lines.

Random update 11-6-16: Finally something to write about

I liked Lego Avengers but once everything was found, and collected I was done as well. Actually I think I have maybe two DLC's where I need maybe one trophy each but I lost interest.

I think I played that part of Tomb Raider awhile ago, but I don't think I ever finished it. Speaking of Tomb Raider I really need to finish Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Movies, Atari, XCOM and Dragon Quest

Doctor Strange doesn't appeal to me. I'll probably catch it when it comes to video. I typed "tape" before deleting it and typed in video. I can't be the only person who still refers to movies as tape when they're available to watch at home.

As for voting its about time people show up to vote, but seriously why weren't these folks at previous elections? Voting is something we should be honored to do especially when people have died for that right.

Tablet Racing Games

I'm all about arcade racing on tablets. I like the arcade/sim hybrid games and they work on tablets but full on sim wouldn't be fun, in my opinion.

Ridge Racer is basically like all the other racing games within the Ridge Racer universe. I played through 70% of it before I got tired of it.
