Atlus and ACE Team Announce Zeno Clash II

The offbeat first person brawler will be followed up in 2013.

Last night, ahead of the E3 rush, Atlus revealed that ACE Team is in the process of developing a sequel to Zeno Clash, simply titled Zeno Clash II. The Rock of Ages developer is producing the first-person brawler for the PC, Xbox Live Arcade, and the PS3 PlayStation Network and is expecting to release it in "early 2013."

Big Huge Games Employees Find Home At Epic

Epic Baltimore formed from remains of Amalur studio.

Last month, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning developer Big Huge Games was suddenly and unceremoniously shut down after their parent company 38 Games missed a loan payment to the state of Rhode Island.  Just like that around 80 employees were out of work.  While some former employees were able to secure work with other area developers such as Zynga East and ZeniMax Online, a vast majority were still unemployed.  Until Epic Games stepped in, that is.

Nintendo Shows The Miiverse

Welcome to Nintendo's foray into social media.

Nintendo has long been criticized on their online strategy – something their attempting to address with both the 3DS and Wii U.  While we await a more robust presentation concerning online functionality at Nintendo’s press conference on Tuesday, Sunday’s Nintendo Direct presentation shed some light on what kind of functions we should expect with the revelation of Miiverse.

It looks more than a little familiar and it comes in black too!

The main focus of Nintendo’s pre-E3 video presentation may have been on the newly dubbed Wii U GamePad and some of the online functionalities, but there were a couple of other surprising details slipped in as well – chief among these being the revelation of yet another Wii U controller called, the Wii U Pro Controller.

Wii U GamePad Detailed

Nintendo showcased the redesigned controller for the upcoming Wii U.

Today at Nintendo's Direct Pre-E3 presentation, the company formally introduced the redesigned Wii U tablet controller, dubbed the Wii U GamePad. Furthermore, Nintendo talked about various features the controller's touch screen will have as well as its functionality.

Hitman HD Collection Leaked On Italian Site

A collection compiling Hitman 2, 3 and Blood Money may be in the works.

A Hitman HD Collection consisting of Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman 3: Contracts and Hitman: Blood Money has appeared on 16 Games, an Italian retail site. So far the listing only shows a PlayStation 3 version, will cost €30, or $37, and has a release date of October 15, 2012.

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Review

Not so sure I’m down with Minecraft, ya dig?

Having had no experience with Minecraft on the PC, Minecraft: 360 Edition seemed like the perfect place for me to dig in and see what all the hubbub was about.  After spending hours with the game, I find myself struggling with how to feel about the experience.  At times, the genius of its world, its intricate interacting components, and the potential to do whatever you can dream of kept dragging me back to play some more.  Other times, I was overwhelmed with the required monotonous labor necessary to put your ideas into practice and felt like I was playing a glorified version of Farmville where I had signed myself up for a series of simulated chores that I would rather not be doing.  And so, I have a divided opinion on the experience – which I think won’t be unusual among the masses discovering Minecraft for the first time.
