1up Update

I love music from videogames, it's one of the most memorable thing in a videogame. Over the years I've collected a few, from magazines, Limited Editions games etc.

I'm in the mood for sharing lately so let me take you through this, for every soundtrack I'll put up one song...

The King of Fighters XIII: Compilation Soundtrack

Anyone that got the King of Fighters Deluxe Edition they got this soundtrack a poster and some other stuff, unfortunately when they localise it over here the cheaped out on the presentation so no track listing or added art work, the CD images are different too. Regardless the 4 CDs have music from all 13 games. Unfortunately KOF is a bit underrated when it comes to music mostly because we played them in the arcade and couldn't here a damn thing Tongue out

The Legend of Zelda: 25th Anniversary Special Orchestra CD

This is some beautifully grand music here, why they never used actual orchestras in the Zelda games till Skyward Sword I will never know, if any of you got the Limited Edition of Skyward Sword, to me it was worth the price.

Street Fighter: The Music Collection

Got this from a PS3 magazine after Street Fighter 2 HD remix came out, as such has the new and old music for the game, this song is my favourite.

The Last Story: The Premium Soundtrack

Came with the Limited Edition of The Last Story, a good game and good music. This one only has 7 songs but they're really good, I'll play you the first song on the CD.

Sonic Adventure 2: Multi-demesinonal

Funny thing is this was released around the same time as the Dreamcast release, they (for some reason) released 2 Albums for the games, one had all the stage music the other all the vocal tracks. I had the unfortunate happanstance of buying the stage soundtracks you'd think I could just buy the vocal soundtracks too, right? Well the thing is the price is heinous Frown If you do want the soundtrack I suggest you buy the one with this on the cover.

It was released after the port to the Gamecube and has most if not all the songs, now what song should I play?... May as well go with the obvious.

Chrono Trigger Arranged Version: The Brink of Time

Though released in Japan it was recorded in London, England Surprised, some of the tracks are unussual but man there are some gorgeous songs to be heard. I'm still waiting on the Chrono Cross Arranged Soundtrack but I can wait a little longer Embarassed This is a mix of genre but is mainly based on Acid Jazz but you can here little other elements of say dub and euphoria and such.

The King of Fighter 95: Arrange Sound Trax

Because the "X" makes it Kewl... but seriously this was when the Arrange soundtracks got good, 94 was okay but this one gave it more life. I couldn't tell you why but Iori's Team music is always the best, I suppose it's the saxaphone Cool I'm trying to get 96 because that had the best version of the Stormy Saxaphone, speaking of which...

Guilty Gear: Sound Complete box

This is a rare and wonderful box set  got on a whim walking down the streets of london, years later I would meet the man behind the music and Games (Daisuke Ishiwatari) and have him sign it. Ths is one of my favourite fighting games and one of my favourite game sountracks, I have a live on stage album somewhere but I couldn't find it so I'll end things with this.

Xtra

Bought some more stuff

Tales of Grace f

Bought Tales of Grace F limited edition a while back (I'm on the final final boss but... haven't got round to). And got a soundtrack, it's okay. Nothing special but it's well produced background music, but that's really the only problem i have with this game. Laughing

Silent Hill 2

This Soundtrack is great, it bleeds atmosphere and unease.

Guilty Gear XX: Sound Alive/A.S.H.

I've been looking for this for soo long this album is unbelievably metal and it's live! Laughing

The best bit is hearing the crowd, man do they love it and so do ICool

Sonic the Hedgehog: BOOM

You people have know idea how long i wanted this friggin thing, my gawd i'd have given a kidney... but it only cost me £10 Laughing Unfortunately the original case is long past gone (unknown circumstances), as far as i know it's incredibly rare (made in 1994) and it still works!! Agh!!Surprised

Well I hoped you enjoyed the music, I may get some more in the future. Do any of you have any game soundtracks? There's a bunch out there i'd like to get, I'd like to know.

This is V saying "Lets face the music and dance"

That LOZ soundtrack must be awesomeness personified! Also Chrono Trigger. That game had some fantastic music! I wouldn't mind owning a STF music collection. Then I could blast Guile's theme while doing stuff. Cuz everybody knows it goes with EVERYTHING!! lol Cool

We're in the process of helping my daughter pack and during that process I'm finding all the game stuff I have laying around which includes a bunch of soundtracks.

I found my copy for the Donkey Kong 64 Soundtrack which I had forgotten we had. DK Rap anyone. LOL

My favorite game soundtracks are from FF6, Katamari Damacy, Chrono Trigger, and many others.  I imported the soundtrack to Tales of Legendia because the music was done by my favorite game music composer: Go Shiina.

KOF: I really like the easy going feel in that one.

Zelda II Link looks like he doesn't have pants in that artwork.

I prefer the original SFII track, but that artwork is neat.

The Last Story video does not exist, apparently.

Chrono Trigger mostly just sounded like smooth jazz to me, which isn't a bad thing.

Yeah, the Tales of Grace was nice, but nothing mind blowing.

I love live albums as well.

Which Sonic is Toxic Cave song from? I can't remember it from any of the original three.

Yeah KOF always had an off beat almost 80s feel Smile

I don't think link is wearing any, brave guy Embarassed

Thanks for telling me, I'll change it.

Toxic Caves was from Sonic Spinball, the pinball game, this is a remix.

Looking again, that shadow actually makes it look like his pants fell down ... poor guy can't catch a break.

And ah, I haven't played Spinball, though I've been eyeing it on Steam.

I have to track down the Last Story sound track. Found a copy of the arranged Chronotrigger, set me back $40 but totally worth it. The 25th anniversary collection that came with Skyward Sword was a nice bonus.
