New 3ds!

I guess I just need a break from life right now. I forsee me being a lot more active here. I haven't gamed in a while, but I'm hoping to buy a New 3ds on Black Friday. There's a really awesome deal for the system for only $99, so I'm going to scoop that up! Also, I'm getting a laptop. Hoping to get back into the swing of gaming again. Any 3ds recommendations? How are the new Kirby and Dragon Quests?

Awesome! Definitely gonna pick that up, then. I hope there's a good Black Friday deal, but it's pretty new so I'm not gonna get my hopes up.

Haven't played the latest Kirby.

What are you in the mood to play? Mostly I have RPGs but also platformers, a couple of visual novel type games and horror games.

Seems interesting - really similar (and made by the same people as!) DQ9 and Ni No Kuni, both of which I love. My issue with it is that setting-wise, it seems kinda bland and rehashed from thise titles.

It's not so much the story that I had fun with, it was all the other stuff. I was having so much fun with the side quests that sometimes I forgot all about advancing the story.

I like the new 3DS releases on Black Friday, but I don't know if I want another 3DS. If I did I would get the black one. As for games I really didn't play a lot on the 3DS but I really liked the Mario & Luigi Dream Team, and the Pokemon games are fun (not a huge Pokemon fan but I liked X/Y, and the most recent release (I forgot the name but the one I played had the red animal on the front)

M&L seems really cute and awesome! Hopefully I can find a good deal. Not too into Pokemon right now though - I just find the concept a little bland

New Kirby is great but it's not much different from Kirby Triple Deluxe (which I liked a little better). My favorite DS games are the Phoenix Wright games. Also Animal Crossing.

I think Triple Deluxe was a tiny bit better than Planet Robobot.

$99 for a 3DS. That's great! So many fun games on the system. There's lots of demos now. I just downloaded the Kirby Planet Robobot one. There's virtual console games galore and Mii Plaza games. I just saw Etrian Odyssey V was released in Japan. I can't wait for that to come to U.S. maybe in 2017. At least I hope it will come over here.

Oh yeah, Pikmin's coming to 3DS in 2017 too.
