The Character I Dislike Most In DQ8

So Im pretty much at the final dungeon/boss. I tried to beat him last night and while things were going okay at first, everything fell apart upon him putting Angelo asleep and killing the Hero. They both have my best healing abilities. Angelo learns Multiheal at level 30 naturally while the Hero can learn Omniheal in his Courage skill set at 82 points. If you also get it to where his Mp cost is 1/2 with that same skill set it only cost 18 mp per use compared to 36. Anywho Im gonna give it another go after I finishing grinding a little bit more.

Now to what my blog is about. I kind of figured my most disliked character would be Charmles. However over the course of the final story part, a character I had some pretty bad vibes about showed his true colors. That character is Marcello. For those who dont know Marcello is the older brother of Angelo. I hope...thats not a spoiler. If it is I apologize. Marcello and Angelo have a pretty turbulent relationship because of their origin story. Near the end Marcello does something pretty fucking awful. I also didnt see any of this coming, if I hadnt of been at my overnight shift I might have screamed"You fucker!" at my 3DS. Needless to say, Marcello is a fuck face.

My levels are Hero-45 Yangus-45 Angelo-45 Jessica-44 Red-40

Red I actually havent used, she was actually made playable for the remake. However you recruit her through the story pretty late. Im so used to using the main 4 that I actually havent put her in. You can also recruit Morrie, but you have to finish the monster arena and to be honest, other then doing the starting quest for it, I havent touched it.

I never beat the last boss in DQVIII when i played it on PS2. I tried over and over, just got nowhere. This time I'm gonna be more prepared.

Heads up, the final boss fight is a bitch. I finally was able to beat him. I had to have 2 people healing and 2 attacking. I made Angelo use multiheal and Jessica use hustle dance. While the Hero use Gigagash and Yangus used a mix of Helm Splitter and Typhoeus Maul. His health was also increased from 5640 to 6500 in the remake. My characters were above level 45. If you make better gear using the Alchemy Pot it will probably be easier. I didnt use it barely at all.

I've been using the alchemy pot extensively and have the best weapons in the game for both the hero and Angelo. I also traded in 91 mini medals so far and have the Metal King Helm on hero.

I seem to remember something about Marcello, but I didn't get quite to the end of the game on PS2, so maybe I missed it. I burned out at 90 hours of playtime. Seems you can beat it in less though. I like to explore.

I beat the game at around 64 hours. Idk if Im gonna do any of the post game so that might be it for me. At least 4 of those hours was trying to kill the final boss.

Wow. Seems very speedy for what I remember. Too bad they removed the classical soundtrack and used midi sounds instead. I remember being really impressed by the score even though it seemed a little bit overly grand for an animated RPG.

The soundtrack still sounds great on 3DS, I enjoyed the music greatly through the entire game.
