I had a crazy week but i'm halfway back to normal, I'm a little behind on a lot of things Uni work, gaming and My review of the Sonc and Mega Man Crossover because my laptop crashed. Not irrepairably but it meant I had to do a few thing. I'll talk you down what's what

Hardware

I mentoned before i bought a new i7 dualcore processor but what I hadn't told you is when I nstalled it the OS couldn't support it, that is to say it ran pretty well at first but the system lost some functions in order to run it (brightness and HP graphic for instance), I upgraded all the drivers and stuff but nothing changed but the systems still worked and i've been swapping CPUs for a whole week testing.

But then It crashed like the Procecusion of OJ's murder trial. Well that's an exaggeration, soon when ever the i7 was docked the windows screen wouldn't change but everything else still worked behind it (Login, sound buttons, etc). Unfortunately after a few uninstals and reinstals my OS crashed and all programs uninstalled after I re-did everything Now it works.

Software

I had Windows Home Basic as well as the standard office stuff and Adobe software, instead of rebooting I decides to Upgrade everything. Fortunately for me i didn't need to buy it because my mum gets free software at her Job. Now i have Windows Ultimate and Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus

All my Adobe Software has been reinstalled Flash and Photoshop and Autodesk Maya, Winrar, VLC ect all back.

This took a whole week people, it was that bad Frown

Games

My Laptop is 2.80 GHz (with a 3.40 GHz boost), 6 GB RAM and now I've finally Installed Steam!

And I've got some games on it and some others on my PC too.

- Max Payne 1+2

- Street Fighter X Tekken (Borrowed)

- Castle Crashers

- Rayman Origins

- Borderlands 2

- Rocket Knight (2010)

- Minecraft (I know I'll be wasting away on this)

- Ys: Origins

- Transformers: Fall of Cybertron

- Shank 2

New Controller

I have tiny hands, I've had to live with that for a very long time. Well I'm not growing anymore so I'll just have to make the world fit me and Such, it's a USB PS3 controller with light up buttons. Got it rather cheap, it feels fantastic! My good I won't have to charge or put my hands in awkward posstions no longer!

I have smaller hands too, probably why I liked the Gamecube controller when it came out.

Computer crashing is never fun, glad you got it fixed.

Nice that you got Steam. If you let me recommend games, get Psychonauts, Limbo and Braid. That is, if you haven't played them already.

I really like Rayman Origins. It's as great as a plataformer can get.

Also, nice song you posted thereCool

6 Gigs of RAM! Man that's a lot of horsepower!

I've never had much of a problem with controllers. Did you ever use the original Xbox controller (also known as the Xbox Controller Fat or the "Duke")?

The Fat controller put me right off the XBox, I got a GC instead and I've never looked backSmile

I may make add 2gb extra too the ram but i need to make sure my Laptop can handle it, i'm going full PC gamer!Cool

I've never bothered much with high end computer gaming. Of course, I've always used a Mac so there isn't much to bother with lol. Glad you got your stuff all fixed though. Sounds like you definitely came out ahead.

I do miss the headaches of building computers. As much as a pain it was, I found to it to be fun. Lots of cussing and fist waving but the end product is always worth it. You sir have one heck of a laptop and congrats on Steam and the new installed games.

Thanks.Laughing

It was a perverse sense of fun to be had, I cleaned out my fan, saw the insides and I created something better. Truly a satisfying feelingSmile

I like the song, has a nice swing to it. I have the opposite problem with my hands. They are huge and rather ape-like! Makes using smaller things tricky at times. They felt right at home with the Dreamcast controller. What a beast! I need to get a controller like yours for PC gaming. Keyboard controls are awkward for me to use.

I discovered the song looking into some Trip-hop.Cool

Get use an Xbox 360 controller, i got my a PS3 one because i have no 360 and with help from Steam downloaded a 360 emulator. Microsoft is sly, they cornered the market by letting most PC games work with their controllers.Tongue Out
