It is! On 3DS, Wii U, SNES Classic, and on the original SNES!

It's more than just watching, if you all want. The idea would be to set goals by certain days, and everyone that wants to plays along. Individual challenges are discussed, posts are made, etc, etc. It's more a community matter than normal let's plays or streams.

So everyone plays along on their own and posts their progress to compare, like a book club? I tried doing this with Demons Souls a long time ago on here.  I think it was too hard for  people. I like the idea, but I don't have capture hardware unless its a ps4 game. This seems like a good way to get me to try earthbound finally. 

Essentially, yeah. Like a book club. A game club, I suppose. EarthBound is the title I've seen used plenty before, so we might as well, right? When it starts, we'll be moving at a slow pace. I'll probably get one or two people familiar with the game to help out with regular posts that provide more information.

EarthBound is one of those SNES games that can be played fairly quickly for a full-length RPG, since there's a lot of content that you can just move through fairly quickly if you don't mind not seeing it all. It's not too hard, and if you catch the streams I put up, I'll help make things look easier!

Oh, so we can just text-post along? I'd have to look for it on WiiU, 3DS or PC emulator. This sounds good. Been wanting to do an offline community thing on here for ages. I'm all in with RPGs!

 

Yup, you can. There's lots of ways to play the game out there, doesn't matter which one you choose.

I think there's enough interest to try. I'll start working on putting some things together pretty soon.
