Hello everyone. I hope you all are enjoying your weekend so far. I myself have just finished up one of my Top 5 Octoberween Game Titles for this year and I'm looking forward to sharing my thoughts about my overall picks this year. But before we go full bore into the final weeks of Octoberween, I thought I'd share yet another speical video that doesn't fall into the norm of what I normally share during my Octoberween Video Weekends.

Yesterday I shared a video suggested by someone on a web series they helped create so I thought I would continue that trend by sharing not just a series but a full fledged movie! A good friend of mine from my high school days is quite the movie maker and awhile back he created an independant film on his own entitled McKinley's Monster. I knew he'd been working on it for quite some time in the past, under various dregrees of shoots. My friend even asked if my father would take part in the movie given he needed an "wise indian" for an opening scene. My dad eventually declinded due to the fact that "he can't act worth a damn" and that he's not "a Rodney Grant" but my friend kept me up on the progress of his film over time.

The flim took about 3 years to flim but eventually he did finish it up and released it on DVD. Off and on over the years I've known him, I kept asking him if he'd post some of his film work (both serious and silly) on YouTube given how at the time YouTube was the place for anything at the time. I knew his work would get some serious views given what I had seen. Though he hasn't released any of his silly shorts, he did eventually get around to posting his movie on his YouTube Channel. Here's a brief description of the movie McKinley's Monster:

"A man teetering on the brink of madness vows he will stop at nothing to avenge the murder of his wife. Clutching to the Native Cherokee upbringing of his youth aa his only link with sanity, he disappears into the wilderness in search of a monster...."

My friend's acting can get quite intense at times, down to the point of borderline scary in how he dives deep into someone tormented in finding the turth of what befell his wife no matter to the cost to his sanity. And whether what he found was his own damnation or salvation. It's a long watch and for some you want to take a break every now. It's a different take for an Octoberween Video Weekend and I do hope you give a chance. As a bonus I've also included the blooper reel if only to help to end on a funny note. Enjoy!
