And now it’s time for something completely different…

Over the months following up to Octoberween, I do my best to keep a keen eye out for any media content that’ll help get me in the mood. This year was no different given what is offered online these days. It’s during my Octoberween Video Weekends it’s when I showcase choice videos I find that might be of interest to those who live a good story. Some are more mainstream than others but I do my best to present videos that may not be that well known in most social circles. Which is why I’m excited to showcase this YouTube video Series: Bedtime Stories!

For some this series might be a bit hard to find in a YouTube search, mostly I’m sure cause when you type in “Bedtime stories” you end up with literal bedtime stories that you’d tell your children before bedtime. While technically you could tell these bedtime stories to your children I’m not sure that would be the best idea given their content.

I instantly subscribed to this series given the nature and presentation of their videos. They are indeed bedtime stories but the scary type that some would like to hear just before turning in for the night. In honesty they could be told other than bedtime. I can easily see myself listening to these tales of the supernatural, paranormal, unsolved mysteries, strange deaths, and conspiracy theories. Some of the stories they tell are ones that are generally known on the internet (including tales covered by prior YouTube Content Creators on previous Octoberween Video Weekends) but there are a few that are new to me since I’ve yet to hear them on any other YouTube channel as of yet.

Their presentation is top tier with illustrations, incidental noises for effect, ambient music and the storyteller’s voice over that fits the mood perfectly for a spooky story. Even the inclusion of their own subtitles at the top of the screen is a nice touch. They are currently 50 videos in as of this writing so it was very hard to pick out two videos for this first weekend of Octoberween 2018’s Video Weekend. They are so good I just might post more videos tomorrow. Their attention to detail and presentation of the stories themselves also help to add more gravitas to the stories themselves given that despite some of these stories being well known on the internet, they end up adding more information that may have been missed by prior tellers of those tales. The Last Moments of Elisa Lam is an excellent example of that.

But enough talk! Have at you with these two tales that I find to be the most interesting and of stories that I have yet to hear from any other channel on YouTube. I’ve gushed about Bedtime Stories long enough so enjoy these two bedtime stories: The Secrets of Celle Neues Rathaus; A Nazi Occult Tale? And The Boys From Yuba City - America's Dyatlov Pass Incident. I shall not spoil them but I do recommend you listen to these at night like I did. Enjoy.

Sleep well tonight.

Cool man. Those were fun stories while I worked on a spreadsheet. Thanks.

It's suprising how well these videos go with other activities. They go well with not just laying in bed listing to the stories via headphones. I find myself having their videos run in the background as I do other work, .like blogging.....
