I normally do a updates and buys blog on stuff similar to this blog but since I havent actually bought anything there wouldnt be much of a point to doing it. Ive actually been saving my money as best I can. After paying all my bills and putting gas in my truck, I only had 90$ to my name left. Shockingly enough I still have that 90 on me. Normally its down to 40 or 20 because I buy games that I am wanting. I however am trying to save up, especially so I know that I have enough gas for work and going to see my boyfriend between paychecks. I should have started saving before now but...ya Im a girl that likes video games and shopping comes easy for us. I also have this thing where if I get upset, I go shopping. It makes me feel better even if it does take all my money. I am fighting that urge though because I really need to watch my finances. So far, Im winning, well see how long that last!

I have spent a total of 695.49 this year so far on games and I have 15,275 in powerup reward points. Im still saving them till the Jan 2014 to see how many I get.

Since May doesnt have a lot to offer me in the way or releases I feel that it will be a calm month money wise for me.

Maybe not long enough for a price drop but long enough that I wont be buying them on release. Metro I have good feelings for but I still need to finish the first one. I rented it last year but never got to finish it. Until I accomplish that, the sequel will stay out of my hands.

June however is the month things really start to pick up. Animal Crossing is 39 days away which at this moment in hours is 948.....yes I have a timer on my computer for it. Ive been watching Lets Plays of it on Youtube and while the game is in japanese its getting me more pumped for it. I preordered the 3DS bundle so Ill also have a handheld yet again!

The Last Of Us is also preordered. I am gettng the Survival Edition, it comes with a lot of neat stuff and for 79.99 thats not to bad. Ive been watching more stuff on it and its jsut getting me more hyped for it. I normally dont have a say about the game of the year thing except if its editions of games with all the DLC but with the good vibe Im getting, this one might be it for me.

While it is not on the list June 4th is when the Legendary Edition for Skyrim releases. As I said in the blog I wrote for it though, I prolly wont get it right off, might wait till July to get it or even August. Remember Me looks interesting but im holding out on that one too, just not a 100% about it.

I think May is gonna be a good month for me money wise, there isnt much in the gaming world for me to worry about that I can concentrate on paying things off and prepare for June to hit. Things might die down again in July but I need to get through June first!

Anybody else excited for some of the upcoming titles are are you holding out like I am doing for a few to see how things turn out?

I used to buy food to make myself feel better. I've replaced it with every time I have that thought I do some form of exercise. That's how the brain works for most, unfortunately, you can not get rid of anything similar to an addiction, only replace it with a new activity to fill that void; not always easy. I really like food. lol

Never played the Zelda Oracle games, and what stood out most to me in June was Marvel Heroes and Deadpool. Which is weird, cause I don't even read comics usually (only own Batman Noel, Watchmen, and like a couple Ultimate Spider-men from long ago), but I do love the movies.

Im trying to replace mine with writing, gaming, or music. Its so far working kind of well. I need to get back to exercising and lose weight. I was doing soo well!

Im waiting to see how well Deadpool does before I make any move to buy it, it seems like it will be a funny game for the most part but Im just not sure its worth 60$ or 50$.

Wow close to 700 on games. I used to be in the same boat, but now I've trained myself to just wait for sales/clearance, or in some cases just waiting a year or so games. The backlog is crazy and it keeps my busy until I find a good deal. The games I'm looking forward to getting on release day is NCAA Football, and the new Fast & Furious game (oh I know its gonna be really bad, but I want to play it)

I agree with Joe about replacing one activity with another. Exercise is a good one that doesn't cost any money, and is something I really need to start up again.

Keep saving that cash! That's a victory every paycheck Smile

A lot of the games I am wanting have super cheap used prices so it can severally tempting but Im cool with waiting. Depending on what I have left after bills with my next pay check and If I have beaten any games off my backlog I might buy me 1 or 2. My backlog technically restarted since I lost all my gamer stuff and am now replacing it so its not as big as it was but its growing again O_o.

I never got into the movies so I have no clue how the fast and furious game will be but knowing movie tie in games, it prolly will be,lol!

I buy stuff when I'm feeling down too, mostly games but also blurays and books too.  I always feel guilty later.  But I do enjoy buying games, even though I don't always finish them.  I love games.

I'm mostly hyped for Blood Dragon, which I'm going to buy in a couple days.  It looks awesome!

I cant be trusted with a credit card at a bookstore, thats a given with me,lol! I have avoided the bookstore for that main reason too, all my money will go bye bye. I keep hearing about Far Cry 3 and that expansion for it. I might jsut have to have a look into these games!

I'm really hoping that Painkiller doesn't get pushed back again. It was originally slated for an August release, then it was pushed back to February, then April, and June now.. Ugh!!!

I wanna say it shouldnt, its too close to release I think for them to announce a pushback unless there is sjut something seriously wrong with the game. I would though remember, if they do that might mean they do need to still do work on it, trust me, let them finish the game and then release it. It might end up being another Soul Calibur 5 incident all over again if they release it when its not compeletely ready :(

Oh it's been completed. It was actually released on PC back in 2003 (?), then ported to Xbox in 2005 (?).

The difference is that they're using a new(er) engine this time around, giving it an HD polish, and throwing in all the expansion packs that came out for it.

Metro: Last Light and Fuse are the two games that I want to get the most at the moment.  I am mildly interested in Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, and I kickstarted shadowrun returns, so I have that coming.

I havnet actually backed anything on Kickstarter, I have seen a lot of games that have potential to be good but I never have put money toward them. I however will put money on the kickstarter for Alice 3 if it happens. If everything goes according to plan for it, they will begin in July for it. Id love to get Metro last Light but I didnt finish the first one yet and I refuse to go anywhere near it till I do,lol!

I feel you. I'm a huge RE fan so Revelations definitely in my top 5 list for games I want on the 360.

However, I'm having fun buying up a few psp games this month. I got Ys 7 and Gods Eater Burst for around $46.00! Getting two great titles for that price feels good!

I think Revelations will be a good game i jsut dont know If im gonna throw down the money for it on release. I mean I might end up getting it, especially if I have a great deal of spare money that I can spend a lil bit but right now Im holding out.

Im gonnaq be doing that same thing for my 3DS when i get it. Ill have Animal Crossing when i get it but i wanna have a few more games for it to start. Not a bad price though for those games!

I usually just play a game when I'm feeling down, but not something violent, I usually go for something colorful like a Mario game. No matter what my mood is, those games just put a smile on my face lol And yep, it's hard saving money when you are tempted at every turn when going to a store, which is a win if you resisted well and have a strong will. Heck, with that you'd be a Green Lantern in no time lol

As for Deadpool, I really want that game because I know it's going to be funny. I just don't know if I'm wiling to spend 50 bucks on it right away. The good news is that it may be a good quality title since High Moon Studios is behind it, they made the TransformersWar/Fall of Cybertron games. And while I haven't played FoC, WfC was really good imo, one of my favorite licensed games after the Batman ones.

I want Deadpool to but Im like you, Im hesitant to put 50 down for it. Im just unsure if I really will like it or that it will even be a good game worth 50$. Im gonna let it release and see what other people think of it. I might try to rent it through my blockbuster online subscription later down the road if it becomes avaliable on it.

I occasionally will look to a game or 2 to help with my mood but more often then not I have found myself at gamestop buying myself more games that I could wait to have. Ive done pretty alright still, spent a lil bit of it on my bf to get him a new tshirt and buy us something to make for dinner but Im still doing pretty good. I dont know if Ill be a Green Lantern anytime soon, lol!
