Hello everyone,

It’s been a long day for me and I’m surprised I’m able to bang out this blog for tonight. It’s one of the great things about the Video Weekend blogs given most of what’s offered is in the video format. For this video weekend I thought I’d share something a little bit different. Instead of a well-crafted or well-known spook story being told I thought I show something in the realm that is truly scary: Reality TV!

I’m usually not a fan of reality television myself but during one a moment of trying to search for Asian horror online I happened to stumble upon the person that goes by the name “The Sacred Riana”. I haven’t been able to fully gather all the info about this person but it would seem she started off as a small act in Southeast Asia and later gained notoriety with her unquiet take on being an entertaining illusionist. She debuted on Asian’s Got Talent back in 2017, that she later won, and was later featured in America’s/Britain’s Got Talent in 2018 and 2019 respectively.

It was her 2017 showing that caught my attention when she showed offed her talents with simple parlor tricks to outright entertaining jump scare moments. Overall her act isn’t all that scary but her demeanor and character as “The Sacred Riana” do convey a creepy Ju-On vibe with her on stage mannerisms and personality quirks. Plus it doesn’t hurt that she picks on poor Aunggun during the entire season.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been entertained by a magic trick so I thought I’d share her performances tonight. I’m including three videos of her performances on all three reality TV shows, if only so you can see how her act has evolved/changes over time. Enjoy.
