So for those of you who don't know, for the latest edition of Backloggers Anonymous, we've been working through Darksiders. After a week or so of being distracted, I've returned to the game with the intent of competing the game. These are just a few endgame impressions as I close in on the finale.

Be aware there will be minor Spoilers ahead...

In my latest venture in the world of Darksiders, I managed to complete the Black Throne dungeon. The massive, dungeon took me much longer than I expected to complete, and while in some cases that could be a good thing I feel like Darksiders handles the massive dungeon thing improperly. For me at least, I was burnt out by the dungeon about half way in. Part of the reason I haven't finished the game was because it took so much personal will to force myself through the tedium that was the Black Throne.

Sure, the portal gun is kind of cool, but all of the rest of the gameplay is getting a bit stale to me. I feel little to no narritave drive while progressing through the game. I've made it clear that I'm not a big fan of War, and many of the side characters fall flat for me too. This puts all of my drive on gameplay alone, and when that faulters, it makes the game way more of a grind than anything.

Thankfully, the boss battle wasn't so annoying. It was actually a bit on the easier side.

I now realize that I have a fetch quest to do, and honestly Im not looking forward to it. Hopefully the ending picks up.

If you've played Darksiders before, let me know what you think of the game, and look for a future episode of the podcast where we wrap things up.
