I'd like to consider myself a well rounded gamer. This cycle, I've been lucky enough to own all three major consoles - and I've played a great amount of each. In some odd way - and I say odd because I didn't expect this - I think I spent the majority of my time on the Xbox 360. Maybe its because I didn't get my Playstation 3 until mid 2010, or maybe its because it just had games that I was interested in, but the 360 is by far the system I came away playing the most. It's my go to regarding most 3rd party games, fighting games and the Mass Effect series (cuz of save importing). That said, going into this next cycle, I think I'm starting to condier passing on the Xbox One - at least until I see something interesting on the box.

I don't normally blog about things other than gaming, but this current situation has summoned up a lot of feelings within me that I wanted to get out. For those who don't follow my twitter, or know me personally, you know that I'm a huge fan of super hero animated series. I've been watching them since I was young, but the ones that have come out over the past 6 or 7 years have been outstanding. However, despite the overall quality of these shows, they end up getting cancelled due to outside factors like toy sales, and merch.

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a HUGE Tales of Series fan. Last years Tales of Graces f on PS3 was pretty good, though it wasn't my favorite by any means. One of the things I wasn't too impressed with was the localization. Some of the voices were fine, but for the most part I felt a disconnect between the characters. A lot of them seemed over acted, and a bit too corny for my liking. Not to mention, it came off as cheap and not well translated. On the contrast, I really enjoyed the localizations for Symphonia, Abyss and Vesperia. I found the characters to be a lot more believable and likable in those.

Unsurprisingly, and somewhat to my dismay, we learned that a new Assassins Creed title is in development for release this October. Not to mention, it would be the official 4th in the series, as opposed to a midway title like AC: Brotherood and Revelations. To be honest, I was expecting it but I still have a sour taste in my mouth from AC3.
