Overall my  experiance has been positive, I bought the game and it should be arriving today before 8pm. I ended buying..the edition i said I wouldnt...my friends did it, they convinced me. One of my friends that convinced me will be out 80$ bucks if I get shut out of my account for something I didnt do so be praying for him.

Anywho, Overall I love the game. It looks amazing on the PS4 and plays really good. I like it better cmpared to the PS3 verison when I played the beta. You can use a keyboard and mouse on the PS4 as well if you so choose. I use the controller and Im pretty much use to it now. The game itself can keep you into it, there is a lot of story and lore from the start to take in. Your first set of quest  pretty much show you around your starting area which is either Ul'Dah, Girdinia, or Limsa. My personal favorite is  still Ul'Dah. I dont know why the desert area is appealing to me but it is.Your starting area depends on the class you choose:

Ul'Dah-Gladiator, Puglist, Thuamatarge

Limas-Archanist, Maurader

Girdinia-Archer, Lancer, Conjurer

After you level up to certian point you can go to the other areas. You also can join the other guilds once you have completed your level 10 quest  from your starting class. Now there is one con I have with this  system. You can not send things to your other characters. I  figure they decided since you can join all the guilds on one character that there would be no point to have to send things to your other characters. However for me, Im sorry, Im not gonna level each damn guild on one single character, thats too much fucking work for one! Im gonna have 5 to 8 characters that work on a  miniumum of 3 guilds at a time. For now, me and my bf have found a way  around it by sending each other the stuff for our other characters. They need to change that though, there is nothing wrong with sending things  to other characters  made on our accounts that can use it for their crafting guild. Thats so far, is my only con with the game. Im hopeing they change that. I just dont have the patience to sit here and level each character into a shit ton of guilds. You  practically need a bunch of different things from each crafting guild if you wanna make  ur stuff with lil cost to your actual gil wallet too. So for now  me and the bf will use our work around way. Hopefully with time things change.

I have used the conjurer, archer, archanist, puglist, thaumatarge, weaver and botantist guilds so far and enjoyed them. The botantist is honestly my favorite. If Im ever in a crappy mood but dont feel like fighting, I can run around and chop on trees to collect items. Pretty relaxing for a gathering  class which is nice. Fightng wise its a tie between archer and the thaumatarge class. Which can combine to make the black mage later down the road. Kickass deal in my opinion.

Anywho so far I love it  even with the  one thing I find to be lacking. I think old and new players to Final Fantasy world would enjoy this game. It cost for the standard edition 39.99 on the PS4 and it comes  with a month free to play.

If anyone is gonna play it Im on Famfirit and would be glad to join up with others.

You get to chop down trees? Can you collect fruit and sea shells and go fishing? Do you get to do chores for other villagers? That all sounds really familiar. :D

Oh I get it, that sounds like an AC title. Now as Cary is asking, what is ARR, oh acronym master? lol

I was initially excited for single player housing, which hasnt arrived yet. I was pretty outraged at the cost for guild housing. The game is really fun.

I  read about that, I heard they lowered the prices down since but there still pretty high. They need to get single player housing out the door. Im not part of a free company and I might not join one anytime soon.

Pardon my ignorance, but what does ARR stand for?  Or where you just compelled to talk like a pirate?

Yeah I tried the Beta when it was live for the PS3 version and liked it. But since I have never really gotten into MMORPGs. That is all I think I'll play of it. I just can't come to terms with paying a monthly fee for a game when I can experience so many other games for that price. Maybe one day but not right now.

I paid for 3 months which ended being like $36, and thats like paying for a new 60-70 dollar solo game. It was more than enought time to finish the main story and try different classes and dungeon runs. I can easily jump back in to the game for a few more months and try new content with leveled characters. I know its rought to justify a subscription, but the game is so good!

I dont mind giving out the 15 a month for it, if it keeps my interest then Ill def stay into it  and pay for it.

Me either, but I was a bit peeved about no single player housing which was teased since last summer, and it never came. A slight annoyance, but nevertheless. Great game though.

does it play more like final fantasy in the battle system or more like a WoW style MMO?

Sorry, that might be a stupid question...i'm just not too versed with MMO's

Most MMOs play like WOW. This game plays like WoW. It also can be played like a FF game with the solo story campaign and the different job classes, boss fights and world. You only need to play with others during dungeon/boss fights.

Sounds like something I could have a lot of fun with if I had the money (and about a week to get my bearings since I'd be completely new to the whole MMO business).
