To those who have kept up with the new Teenager Mutant Ninja Turtle movie, you prolly know whats going on but for those who dont I'll sum it up. Micheal Bay is rebooting our childhood franchise and he is at the same time killing it for all of us. He wants to make the Ninja Turtles aliens from outer space and he as let Megan Fox in on it which most likely means she will play April. So just let that sink in. I swear I rather the series be left alone then see Micheal Bay rape its innocent soul. I grew up watching the old live action movies and the CGI one wasnt that bad at all. I think Ill skip this movie but if any of my 1up peeps have the balls to sit down and watch it please share your utmost feelings and torments about how it killed your soul and left you in a desert to be eaten by vultures.

I am in a very dark mood today, I apologize if I offend or hurt anybodys feelings about this subject but I for one am not a supporter of the new movie reboot.

Yeah, I heard about this sometime about 6 months ago on a radio station.  People were calling in upset that Michael Bay is changing the origins of the turtles.

I read on Wikipedia that Bay made a statement acknowleding that TMNT has many fans of the original series, and he will take care to treat it with the respect it deserves (basically).  I think he still plans to stick to the whole alien storyline, but I do think it's possible that new TMNT movie might acutally turn out great.  After all, Star Trek (the 2009 movie) deviated from it's original timeline, but tthey were still about to make an amazingly respectable reboot.

My only concern is Megan Fox being in the movie.  The girl can't act.  All she can do is look pretty and pissed off all the time.  Ugh.

Im glad you have good hopes for it. I never saw the Star trek movie *Non Star Trek fan* I barely even know anything about that series to be completely honest. Its good its movie came out great but I just dont think I can look a Ninja Turtles that way. I might could after seeing some footage of what its like look past the origin thing *thats a big maybe*, but the Megan Fox thing buried it. I can not stand that woman, my lil sister made me watch Jennifers Body with her and I nearly tore my own head.

yeah I remember reading the old Eastman and Laird comic back in the day.  I was a turtles fan.  Michael Bay is a damn idiot.

he is an idiot, and sadly he got a hold of the rights to make the movie. My brothers use to have the comics, but they did something with them and now I cant find them. I was gonna read them -_-

All I really know about Michael Bay: A lot of people liked The Rock, Armageddon had a lot of Dorito's tie-ins when it first came out, and I like that cheesy Aerosmith song for it, I actually liked Pearl Harbor, but I was eleven at the time, I thought the first Transformers was "ok," the second was a chore to sit through, and never saw the third, and no one will like his take on TMNT, most likely.

This concludes my knowledge of Michael Bay's work.

I only watched the first transformer movie, never went past that one. I saw Armageddon as a kid but I had no clue it was directed by Micheal Bay at that time. Isnt it funny as adults we watch for that stuff but as kids we dont.

He already destroyed Transformers. Now he has to destroy one of my most beloved childhood cartoons?! When will it end?! Megan Fox can't act worth a crap. I remember reading something about her asking him what to do, and all he said was "your just there to look at" lol. Or something like that. Undecided

I guess you can always go back to the original comics. I wouldn't recommend watching the cartoon from the 80s again. It's corny beyond belief lol.

Hey mister I watched the 80s cartoon as a munchkin and loved it! lol! I plan on reading the comics for it as soon as I can get a hold of a few. Sneenlantern actually shared a volume collection on amazon I will prolly grab at first chance.

We should have known TMNT would be the next thing he steals the life from :(

Yeah I hate to be negative, but I don't have high hopes for Michael Bay's TMNT movie.  But then, my knowledge of TMNT mostly comes from the video games.

Your not alone in that department, I know a good number of people who think this movie will be a big fail. I played some of the games, me and my lil sister loved them as kids!

I had heard the thing about casting Fox as April (rediculously bad casting choice for no end of reasons), but I could deal with that so long as anybody other than Michael Bay or Brian Singer was directing it. He butchered the Transformers and basically made them nothing more than props in their own movies. Now he wants to make the Turtles  space aliens. He is fucking nothing more than Uwe Boll with a big budget. All his movies have sucked. He's like King Midus only everything he touches turns to shit.

I just cant figure out who's bright fucking idea it was to let him even go near the TMNT franchise. I actually read where the writers of the comics were working with him on the movie and I couldnt but think why in the fuck are you letting him destroy TMNT??

I swear if I was them, I wouldnt let him come near my damn work.

I totaly agree, but sadly Eastman and Laird have pretty much chose money over creator integtrity many time over. I still respect them and their humble beginings, but they have not done much for the old school core fans of the original comics. In Peter Laird defence he did speak out against Megan Fox being cast as April. But its too little too late as far as I'm concerned.

I learned if it's Michael Bay, don't expect much.  Now I get to see TMNT crash & burn.

How I feel about Bay's approach to TMNT is the same way I feel about George Lucas' approach with the SW prequels; my memories of the original iterations of the characters and universe can't be messed with. All that can happen is that my interest in any ongoing narrative is destroyed.

I too loved TMNT as a child but, aside from wanting to check out the original graphic novels, nothing about the franchise has made me want to check back in. So I feel indifferent about this new movie.

I understand completely how ya feel about Star Wars, I wont even go into about the new star wars movie or how I feel about it. We will be here forever if I do. Ive stayed with the franchise through the years and so far this movie is the one thing making me want to pack up and leave it. One of the newest things which was the TV series on Nick isnt too bad in my opinion. This movie will prolly be a nice big kick to sending me out the door.
