So I have alot to make up on and I'm sorry. Things got crazy which is what I expected. However I'm gonna finish this dammit. So just a few things to start, we got the apartment pretty much set up to go for March 1st and 2nd. We payed the deposit and am paying the first month rent next week. Next Monday our families are having a housewarming party to celebrate us moving on to our next adventure. I'm pretty excited for it! I'm also nervous but new adventures normally come with that.

I've noticed the Order has gotten bad reviews which makes me sad. I normally don't go by reviews from sites like IGN or Gamespot but with there already being some controversy over the game regarding length I'm kind of half tempted to listen and wait. I'm waiting to hear Dan's final word on because if he still wants it, will atleast buy the standard verison. I just ain't spending 150.00 unless he makes some valid point or really begs for the collectors edition.

I'm actually to the point of convincing him to let me preorder Bloodbourne for us to get instead next month. I think we would both enjoy it and the challenge. However I think Dan won't change his mind, he really wanted the Order. Which I did too but these last few months I have been very cautious. After the disaster that is called Harvest Moon:  The Lost Valley I've been trying to be bit more safe regarding game buys. Okay Harvest Moon wasn't that bad, it wasn't Soul Calibur 5 bad but still.

How is everyone? I hope yall are all well!

yeah IGN was trying their best before their review to still convince people to buy it "We like the length!"  but now that their review is out, and it's a 6.5....  IGN rarely gives AAA games bad reviews, so if it's that low it's got to be bad.  Of course, like you said reviews are subjective, but from what I've read about it, it seems kind of lame.  It's too bad because it seems like a fun story and world to play in.  Oh well.

I go through trust issues with IGN and Gamespot. Sometimes I don't trust everything they say because I'm someone who believes they do get paid sometimes to be nice about games from developers. I know that's kind of paranoid type thing but honestly that's how I see it. However with everything that's coms crashing down around the game, I'm gonna trust this one.

all the hate that The Order has been getting has, admittedly, turned me off to a purchase of the game...I'll probably check it out when I re activate Gamefly later this year.

The comments from the developer likening his game to an expensive, quality steak seemed pretty far-reaching to me.  Sounded desperate.

Wow, that's crazy. I didn't know the developer said that. Well they probably won't be making their money. I've noticed alot of people say their canceling preorders for it. It's sad that they delayed the game for it to go this bad.

That sucks. Game looked cool.

It definitely did, Dan's really upset over it, he had been following and waiting for the game since it was announced. I'm shocked with the extra time they took that it's this bad with reviews.

I wouldn't spend $150 on any game, but then again, I'm a cheap bastard lol. Did you hear that somebody on Youtube beat The Order in 5 hours? With unskippable cut scenes. That's kind of ridiculous.

I did, I feel bad for the person because apparently once they learn their identity there supposedly taking them to court. I'd hate to be on that end with Sony. The developers says a normal paced playthrough is 10 hours. The reviews didn't mention length so idk. I never saw it so it's mostly word of mouth to me.

If the collectors editions are worth it, I'll spend it. Of course I buy statues of Harley Quinn and they go to 200 and over, lol!

I wouldn't worry about falling behind, everyone here is happy to read what you write.

I saw some things about The Order on Reddit. The game looked fun but it wasn't on my must buy list so I'm taking the wait and see approach. Hopefully the folks who did spend the money on it will enjoy it. $150 is a lot on a game even if it comes with a bunch of stuff like a statue and art book.

150 is alot, but if I like the items that are added and I feel the game is worth it I spend it. This is one of those times where though they won't be getting my money. After talking to Dan about it, we decided to go for bloodbourne and get the 79.99 edition of it. I went ahead and used what would have been used for The Order except the 25 already down is gonna go to the witcher 3.  I had to preorder on Amazon but since gift cards give you the pay ahead option I didn't mind.

Me and Dan will probably just wait for it to be free on psn. It will eventually reach there. I appreciate that, whenever I fall behind or can't do much on here its nice to know it's not held against me on here.

I was really tempted to get The Order. There wasn't much else out this month I wanted, but I needed to get a new system and it didn't quite make me want to spend $400. I largely ignore game reviews, at least for day-one purchases. I usually decide a month ahead, and after that, nothing can change my mind.

I use to be like that but after a few flop buys I stopped. If something gets big enough doubts and is bombing badly on reviews I typically reassess if I really want it. I use to say screw it and just buy if I liked what I saw. The only new release I bought so far this month is Dead or Alive 5 Last Round. This month originally would have been busy for me but since The Witcher was delayed to May it's been slow to some degree.

I've had a few instances of reading bad reviews and then loving the game anyway.
