Well, since I'm participating in marathon blogging this year, I might as well explain Game Log a Day. Since my life is pretty generic, I'll only be talking about games. Today I start with the game that most influenced me and made me fall in love with video games to begin with.

Now that Christmas is over with, I figured that I would post one more time in 2013. So happy holidays to everyone. This post will not be a game blog like normal. Instead, I have decided to share a little about what went on with me personally. I usually don't like to do these, since my life is pretty boring, and I can be a negative person pretty easily. Although, I feel comfortable enough here to open up a little bit about myself.

Well hello! Long time no blog, Setz, you say. Yes, it's true that I have been lurking more than writing. Plus I still don't have internet at home, so that's a downer, but now that I have settled into my new place and started working again, I'm hoping to be back participating in discussions like misogyny and retro games on a full time basis before the year is out. What I want to share today is what I am looking forward to this holiday season before the year is out. Call it a wish list if you will. Let's start.

I'm glad you asked that question! For me, the new Smash Bros. info from Nintendo was the most exciting part of E3. The new characters have me excited. I have been anticipating it ever since the info came out that it was in development months ago. First though, a history lesson!

This is a follow up from my last one about the SNES.

Basically, just because the system is discontinued doesn't mean that you'll never be able to play those fun games! Here, I'll show people many different ways to play the games of yesteryear.

First and foremost, there is emulation. Just in case you don't know, an emulator is a computer program that imitates the hardware of a video game console. In this case, it lets you load rom files, which are copies of games. So basically, you can play those games on your laptop or home pc. Although, legally it is against the law to emulate any game that you don't own a physical copy of. Now, I won't/ can't point you in the direction of where to get these things off the internet, but you can get anything these days by googling it, now can you?

Hi everyone! This weekend I want reintroduce you to one of the best consoles of all time: the Super Nintendo. With E3 looming upon us in a couple weeks, I thought that now would be a good time to revisit this system and maybe explain why it was so great.

Well, I took some time off from here to concentrate on school, and now I'm free. Yay. So now I'll just chill. Spend some time with fam, get a part time job, make some money and all that. Since the good times are here again, I'll be away from the computer most of the time. There are some state parks that I want to visit, and I plan on being outside as much as I can.

Hi Pixlbitians. I hope all of your weekends are going good. =) Just wanted to drop in and say hello, even though I don't have too much to say this week. I see my que of back blogs to read has gotten in the double digits, and I apologize for that. You guys have some really good stuff to read. I promise to get to reading all of them, even though I have to take my time. I had planned to catch up on all of them on the weekend like normal, but then SOMEONE had to post a Felicia Day video and I got really sidetracked. =P

This is a game you should play. Why? Because it's fun, that's why! It's one of those upgraded retro games like Pac-Man Championship Edition. The gameplay is more like Galaga in that you're shooting aliens that fly across the screen. I bought and played the Playstation Network version for $10 and had a really good time.
