Done with Borderlands Series

Posted on 03/29/2017 at 11:12 AM | Filed Under Blogs

This morning on GOG Tales is $6. I'm currently debating if I want to jump into that game or just stick with Batman as my Tales game...maybe I'll check out Guardians beccause it is also on Sale, but on Steam.

Halo should be a fun run through memory lane for you, plus there is a lot of content.

Birthday Blog: Favorites from '98

Posted on 03/29/2017 at 11:09 AM | Filed Under Blogs

I wished you an early birthday, so here's a late birthday: Happy Birthday!

Damn '98 was a good year. Mission Impossible was interesting. I played it on the original Playstation, and I might own it. Bust A Groove was impossible to find at a decent price.

Now music...fun quick story about 98 Degrees. While at the Super Bowl in San Diego, at the Super Bowl experience we were walking around and they were doing their sound check, running through their set on one of the smaller stages and nobody cared. I stopped for a bit before moving on to buy some cards or other randoms.

DMX, Stop! Drop! Shut'em Down, Open Up Shop, oh, no, that's how the Ruff Ryders roll... Love that song. I can guarantee everything on your list (maybe not that Goo Goo Dolls song, but I make up for it with 98 Degrees) can be found on my phone.

Bicycle... BICYCLE!!!

Posted on 03/29/2017 at 11:01 AM | Filed Under Blogs

I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike...

When I was growing up a local bike shop used that song in their commercial. I'm immune to that song being stuck in my head. Tongue Out

I like referring to Link as Zelda. It angers Nintendo fanboys, especially at GameStop.

Ongoing Pre-Sequel

I think with the Zelda hype is mostly fanboys going apesh*t over it. Yeah its probably great but I think most of that hype is based on exclusivity because it was the only game on the Switch (even though folks could get it for WiiU), and those handhelds are hard to find in the wild.

I love Steam. The one thing that bothers me with PC gaming is now there are Steam-like clients for EA, UPlay, GOG, and Battlenet. I wish everything was based out of Steam but each company feels they could do a better job so I end up having multiple clients living on my PC.

Halo: Fractures Book

I like that the people associated with the book also were part of creating the Halo Universe so everything sticks within that universe. I also think its cool that a video game's storyline can stick with you like that. That's something special.

More on the list

Ooh Fighter's Destiny. I believe I own a copy of that. Love Cruisin', and Rampage but I played Rampage on the PS2. I bought those wrestling games years later, and nWo 4 Life!!!

As for the flicks, how have you never seen Armageddon, Saving Private Ryan, and There's Something About Mary? Check those flicks off your list...save Private Ryan for a long weekend.

I really dug Truman Show. I liked the conept and if you ever wander around the Caymans, it reminds me of the town Truman grew up in.

Lemons and Lemonade: Mass Effect Edition

I'd like to see DC captialize more on the multiverse storyline. Supergirl/Flash/Arrow/Legends are doing that and its an interesting storyline.Who knows maybe DC will do the same in future flicks.

DC saw how well the last Batman trilogy went so they're going all in with the darker storylines both on TV and on the big screen.

Tales from the Borderlands Finally Works

Posted on 03/22/2017 at 12:10 PM | Filed Under Blogs

When the QTE and Point and Click stuff is done right the game feels like playing a movie. It's good to read that the Borderlands game was made well, aside from the technical issues on the 360 side. Maybe I'll check it out.
