Done with Borderlands Series

I finished up Tales from the Borderlands today. The last chapter has you doing a few more button presses, which is good. I seem to detect certain scenes as new to me from the last time I played. I know I made a few different choices this time around. I was getting a kick out of the end of chapter breakdowns and any choices I made that were in the minority. I think I made more low percentage choices compared to other players this time around. I suppose that might account for a few different scenes and a slightly different progress through the story. These choices don't change that much but at the end you can choose your team against the final boss and different choices result in some different scenes. The end is always the same, though.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Tales from the Borderlands but I am excited to get back to some nonstop action gaming. This was the last of the Borderlands games I'm revisiting. Next up is Halo and I'm playing all the Halo games in chronological order starting with Halo Wars. I couldn't play it today, though, because of the long install process and the fact I only had an hour to go in the day. So I played some Ticket to Ride and Heavy Weapon.

That's a day. How about you?

I love the Halo series. The series just never gets old. Even going back to the original still feels great. I alos don't understand why people take issue with the story in 5. I loved it and can't wait to see how it evolves in part 6.

I can't wait to play 5. My friend Mark is totally not into it though. When MC becomes a fugitive, he's out.

I mostly just remember Halo 2 for couch multiplayer.  I was always kind of a noteable also-ran in those matches.

I saw Power Rangers. It was a mixed bag, but decently enjoyable. Basically everything critics has said was accurate.

I could have used way more theme song ....

I played about ten minutes of Halo 2 multiplayer. I ran around with dual weilded smgs and made a lot of noise. Getting killed every ten seconds or so isn't my thing.

yeah some people complain those TellTale games arent "games", but I like them.  Whatever they are, they are pretty cool, and a lot of the time, damn good storytelling.

It's good storytelling but I can't relax and just watch them. You never know when the prompts are going to pop up, so you have to stay alert, but largely inactive, for 2 hours straight. It feels a little bit like having your head secured and eyes pried open so you can't blink or turn away. If I'm gaming, I'm constantly active; if I'm tving, I'm just passively watching. This is somewhere in between. I either want to relax and watch or do more and actively participate all the time. I can do neither.

that's a good way of describing it. I don't know if you've played Walking Dead ones though, but for some reason, it's more effectively and grueling emotionally than a normal tv show. It just hits harder. Don't know why.

I guess even a little bit of participation makes the story hit home more.

Props for making it through the whole series! I always want to do things like this but never seem to be able to follow through, even if I actually do start it. I have played all the Borderlands games, though, except Tales. I'd like to try that.

Luckily Mark has been playing the Borderlands games a lot too, otherwise I might have been less inclined to spend so much time with them. It's hard to play the Borderlands games in a quick way. There's so many side quests to get distracted by.

This morning on GOG Tales is $6. I'm currently debating if I want to jump into that game or just stick with Batman as my Tales game...maybe I'll check out Guardians beccause it is also on Sale, but on Steam.

Halo should be a fun run through memory lane for you, plus there is a lot of content.

I saw Guardians starts in April. I'm currently thinking that I'll wait until a copy with all the episodes comes out. I'm wondering if I can resist it though.
