Confessional: I don't like zombies.

Posted on 05/04/2013 at 05:22 AM | Filed Under Blogs

I love zombies but I'm starting to get bored of them a touch. In gaming my favourite type of online is co-operative gaming, particularly in horder style modes and zombies suit this style of non armed play very well. It doesn't just have to be zombies for this experience to work (I really hope they nail the horde mode for Aliens Colonial Marines for this one) but that slow advancing wave that doesn't fire bullets is particularly enjoyable for me. To be honest I ve always been fascinated by Zombies and the world that they create so this massive influx of games, movies, TV and books has been pretty awesome for me, but when it's done badly my eyes roll. The world War Z film looks terrible and very far away from the book. Any one that saysthat 'the movie isn't relaesed yet so how can we tell' has a point but from the trailers/ released footage it looks like it has very little in common with the book which is based on interviews from dozens of people to build an overall picture. Max Brookes first book 'The Zombie survival guide' is better than World War Z in my opinion, addictive reading with an insight that makes you wonder if Max knows something we don't!

Fighting Fundamentals with JD - Character Selection

Great article, my favourite fighting game character of all time has to be Street Fighters Gen. I was pretty gutted to see that he'd been missed on the MvC rosta. I think one of the reasons I love him so much is because of the vast amount of time it took to be able to use him. That duel stance is something that at first seemed impossible to master but it really gives the player an opportunity to turn the fight around by mixing things up.

I downloaded Toki Tori on e shop for the GBC, it's actually more fun than I thought it would be so I may have to give the GBA version a shot too. As for strategy guide I agree with you, I don't buy many but for enthusiasts they can really add to your collection. Many of them have some great art work inside and for some reason I often enjoy browsing through classics, still got my Metal Gear Solid ones that Iflick through from time to time!

Why Virtual Console Continues to Disappoint

Yeah I really enjoyed Ocarina of Time and Starfox on the 3DS, seeing more of these realised in 3D would be a dream come true, just ashame we'll never see Goldeneye on the 3DS. That would quite possibly be my one wish if I could have one for gaming.

ha ha yeah, think I was being a bit over zealous in my analogy there, I think Nintendo are too innovative to 'die' completely, they really do like sticking two fingers up to their loyal fan base though. It's strange because if you look at the game cube era they were out of the loop for sometime, these guys have a knack of pulling a 'Rocky' though, think they are down and out and then boom they KO you.

I really hope Iron Man 3 is better than 2, I left the cinema rather disappointed after seeing that installment, though to be fair quite a few of the Marvel films could have been better. Roll on Avengers 2!

Some great points here, it's funny but you don't usually think of organisation in terms of gaming but it makes perfect sense. I ve had quite a back log myself in the handheld region but as I ve good oodles of spare time at the moment and no x box or Tv arrival yet I ve been steadily playing games I should have gotten round to sooner, so far on my PSP I ve blitzed both God of War installmets, played right through Metal Slug 1 and 2, hammering Soul Calibur and re-played Resident Evil 1 -3. To be honest I'm having a blast on this little gem of a console and I'm even more reluctant to shell out for a Vita at this point with all the fun I'm having on Sony's original!

Oh yeah, nothing wrong with chilling at all! sounds like you deserve a break any how. Like you I have little to do at the moment and as I have to wait another month before my X box and TV arrive I ve been getting to know my 3DS and PSP again. Forgot how awesome the PSP can be!
