Strangely enough, playing it on a handheld made it easier for me to complete. I've had the PS2 Subsistence version for so long.
I think the bigger talking points will be/can be improvements in the user interfaces. What people really want is better operating systems (menu navigating, better downloading speeds) this time out. I'm sure the games will be impressive visually but most will blabber on and on about the OS and new controllers.
I predict we'll hear console-gen comparison debates for the first 3-6 months and then maybe it'll die over or be restricted to cross platform titles. I won't care until I actually purchase a next-gen console but I listen to a handful of game-related podcasts and I know that'll be the topic of discussion that can be unavoidable.
I haven't felt the need to buy grippers for the Vita. It feels pretty comfortable in my hands.
I'm intrigued but I have no business buying new games right now. Maybe that attitude will change come Black Friday...

I'm staying away from this one. I don't like rape in film, even when its portrayed responsibly.
I'm still so busy with current gen-games that I don't have time for next-gen. I've never had the new hotness in this regard so I don't see how I'll suffer if I don't once more.
I actually sold my copy a while back so this is nice. I even have all of the map packs downloaded.
Gamer confession: I never finished the campaign. I couldn't get past the Flood level (the one that takes place in what looks to be a nasal cavity). I always hoped my brother and I could finish it one day but then he got married 3 years ago.
