Seriously, I have a bad problem when it comes to playing video games. Please let me explain.
Some of you may have read my one or two blogs I posted in 2015. The ones where I discuss my playing of the video game F.E.A.R. . I raged quit that game because I can not get past a certain level. That isnt the problem, there's lots of games I can not beat. But here is the problem. I originally wanted to play F.E.A.R. 2. But I do not want to play F.E.A.R. 2 until I complete F.E.A.R. So if I never finish F.E.A.R I may never play F.E.A.R 2!!!
I want to play Crysis 3, but I refuse to play Crysis 3 until I play and complete Crysis and Crysis 2.
Just tonight I started to play.....
Killzone 3
And even though I have played and beaten Killzone, Killzone 2 and Killzone 3. I feel the urge to replay Killzone and Killzone 2 before I replay Killzone 3.
Am I the only gamer with this problem? Please tell me some of you are weird like this.

I don't have this problem, but I have a friend who will remain nameless who refuses to play the Final Fantasy games because they want to start at the first one before they play the more recent ones. That's a little insane. So I understand what you mean.
It's not so weird though. But you would probably survive if you skipped some of these games. 
Matt, I can understand me doing it with games I havent played. But I've played and beaten all three Killzone games....hahahahah. I'm losing it!
No, I put back Crysis 3 because I have not played 1 or 2. I just got F.E.A.R 3 Sunday so I plan to play it when I get a chance. I thought about you the other day when I picked up MS Guns of the patriots.
Homeless... good, so Im not alone! Hahahaha. Guns of the Patriots is an awesome game. You will enjoy it. and dont listen to all the nay sayers who complain about the long cutscenes...you can skip them. I just recommend you watch them your first playthrough. Also it has a level in the game that almost made me cry...almost.
It depends on the series for me. A very story-heavy series like Mass Effect or Dead Space makes me want to play from the beginning. But games that are more about the action are easier for me to skip to the "relevant" ones.
For instance, I keep hearing that Uncharted 2 is one of the best PS3 games, but the first game is "fine" and doesn't hold up as well. So I don't mind skipping the first game.
See, I want to play the trilogy in order before 4.
I've never replayed an entire series though, so I dunno about going in order upon REPLAYING.
I'm OCD, have to play in order or my brain wants to explode. So no, you're not alone.
I'm always very tempted to play in order too. I try and resist that urge though because I know it's a huge time commitment to play through most series.
I know a couple of people that do this. I'm in the Play What I Want Now camp but I did try taking that approach with Mass Effect. I really wanted to try 3, so I went to the beginning and at this rate, I'll play 3 in about 10 years.
While I'm tempted to play a series in order, sometimes I can't help but play out of order. For the longest time I couldn't beat the final boss in Metroid Prime, and when Prime 2 came out I kept trying with little success, only managed to beat it after I cleared Prime 2
Do I have to reminb you the number of times I played Mass Effect?
