Games Beaten

November was a very busy month in real life and I didn't get any games finished. It didn't help that I spent most of what time I had with Destiny 2 and Breath of the Wild. (And as you can see by how long it has taken me to get this recap up, December has continued the trend.)

Games Bought

My wife downloaded Nine Parchments on the Switch for us to play but we haven't had a chance to touch it yet. For Black Friday we picked up The Evil Within 2, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, all for the PS4, each for $15. I hadn't planned on getting any of those but man, $15! We also got Starlink: Battle for Atlas for the Switch—gotta have that sweet Arwing!—and Super Bomberman R, also for the Switch. Those had pretty big discounts as well. That was basically all for me. Earlier in the month, though, we downloaded Pokémon Rumble U (Wii U) for our boys and they played a gob ton of that. Then my wife bought herself Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! (Switch), which she happens to be playing right now as I type this. PS+ was lighter this month for me. I was always intrigued by Bulletstorm (PS4) and this is the Full Clip Edition, whatever that means exactly. I also got Burly Men at Sea (PS4/Vita), some sort of minimalist story game, and Roundabout (PS4/Vita), a game I probably would have skipped on without Julian's recommendation on Nerds Without Pants.

Now Playing

-The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch)

I beat the third Divine Beast! Just one more to go before I can fight Ganon. I had hoped to finish this game by the end of the year but that seems less and less likely all the time. There is just so much game here!

-Destiny 2 (PS4)

More new content just dropped this week for this game. Destiny has kept me busy and I still feel behind of where I'd like to be.

-Earth Defense Force 2025 (PS3) (PS+)

Cleaning up the last few missions on Hardest for the Ranger. I need more armor!

Bulletstorm Full Clip Edition is a remaster with upgraded visuals and a new mode and some multiplayer maps. You can also get, I think, the Duke Nukem add-on that was originally for preorders. You can play as Duke Nukem with a whole set of new voice work by the original Duke Nukem voice man. The game is rediculous and fun.

Are you getting Earth Defense Force 5 for PS4 this month?

Not getting EDF5 right away. Too much still to do in 2025!

I got pretty far in 2025 but inevitably burned out on it. I'm considering going back to it but Forza Horizon's DLC drops on Thursday, so that's out.

I just reviewed Starlink.  Turned out to be a pretty good game.  Check out my blog for my review of it.

Breath of the Wild is a LONG game!  I complain about it all the time, but I spent 65 hours on it so I must've liked it somewhat. :)

I'm looking forward to Starlink but first I have to finish Breath of the Wild. I'm over 70 hours in!

Bulletstorm has been fun so far. I'm hesistant to download the PS+ version of Yakuza Kiwami in case it messes with my Blu Ray of the game somehow ... I kinda would like to just have it digitally though.

Hard to imagine a digital version screwing up the physical but stranger things have happened before, I'm sure. I hope a bunch of people gave that a fair shake. So good!

Yeah, my issues with Kiwami are mostly that it felt like a step back from 0, but hopefully people will still experience all the awesome parts and not put it down because of that bullshit regenerating health bar nonsense you don't see in the other Yakuza games. Sealed

Still a great title though.

well, you’re farther than me in zelda. I haven’t taken down one divine beast yet. But I will eventually!!

My goal all along has been to get it done by the end of the year but I don't think I'm going to make it. I've got so little game time this month. Maybe I just gotta believe!

I finished the fourth Divine Beast yesterday. There's still hope!
