I generally don't get excited for E3 anymore. I have too many great unplayed games as is. But I'm always down for something from Arkane (of Dishonored and Prey fame) and they've got a trippy new game that looks pretty cool.

Deathloop

And Shinji Mikami's new game, Ghostwire Tokyo looks good too.

And, of course, being a fan of Deus Ex, I'm looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077.

I'm looking forward to what the Square Enix and Nintendo presentations might bring.

I was impressed by Microsoft's show, but I'm not intending to buy an Xbox anytime soon. It was a good show though, and the Keanu part was fun. They showed good games. But, what I will probably do is sign up for Gamepass when I get a gaming PC. It looks like gaming services are the future of Sony and Microsoft anyway, maybe.

I was excited for Cyberpunk of course, but I think I'm most excited for Tales of Arise. The Tales series needs a jolt of newness in it, and I think this might be it.

The sweeping vistas in the trailer made it look like Tales of Xenoblade, am I right? Wink

Yeah it definitely was inspired by that. Tales games have been a little stuck in the past visually if you ask me. I’m glad they’re shaking it up.

I'm looking forward to Nintendo's showings tomorrow.  Hope Animal Crossing doesn't get delayed.  Not sure if I'll write an E3 blog or not.  I do have some notes jotted down for one, so maybe I will.  Right now I'm probably the only one who is excited for an announced game from XSEED: Burgertime Party.

I'm curious what those first two are about exactly. Deathloop seems inspired by certain 70s films ... Ghostwire's first scene where everyone's on their phones has me thinking it'll somehow be a commentary on modern technology. Interesting stuff I would have missed had you not posted it, cause I'm not really watching E3 too closely.

I dug the Keanu reveal in the Cyberpunk 2077 trailer and got a kick out of the now-viral "No, you're breathtaking!" exchange, but I'm not sure yet if it's my kind of game or not.

I actually started playing Mankind Divided today and man was that a long recap. I'm still basically in tutorial mode for the stealth stuff. Not sure if choosing the shotgun instead of the sniper would have made a difference or not. Probably should have gone that route if so, since I prefer action to stealth.

Yeah, both of those games are mysteries in the gameplay department but they're coming from solid developers, so I'm hopeful. Seeing that Keanu bit reminded me that he's a genuinely nice person. One of the things I've always liked about Deus Ex is that if you bugger the stealth, you can still generally get by with just blowing everything up lol. I've never managed to do one of those nonlethal playthroughs...

I wonder how Deathloop will play. 1v1? Or do you switch from character to character in the story?
