Defending the Lylat System with an orchestral armada

Clan McCloud

From: Star Fox

Remixed by: djpretzel

This Star Fox remix is from the early days of OCR and is actually by the founder, djpretzel, who still maintains the site today, over twelve years later. The remix opens with sinister-sounding strings before a piano brings in the main Star Fox theme, which then passes to horns and strings. A tense middle section bridges to the main theme again and then the opening returns in dramatic fashion to end the song.

At just over three minutes, it's not a long remix nor is it very complicated but the tunes are classic and presentation is spot on, even if the samples do show their age a little.

Great song Philip. It really makes me want to play some Starfox. I need to get the original on SNES. I don't know WTF it's taken me so long lol. Just thinking about those awesome voices makes me want to hit up ebay. Laughing

I've never played more than a few minutes of Star Fox, and that was way back in the day at a friend's house. I've played a ton of Star Fox 64, though, and I'd love to get the 3DS rerelease of that.

Starfox did have rather stirring music in it. That is a very cool interpretation of some classic gaming goodness. I like it!

yeah the sounds do show their age. Is this from the original Star Fox or N64 or gamecube offerings. sadly it's been awhile since I played this game.
