Marching with Lolo

The Eggerlander March

From: Adventures of Lolo III

Remixed by: Doc Nano

I've never played any of the Lolo games (made by HAL for the NES before Kirby came along) but I've heard they're fun and devious little puzzle adventure games. Oh, and they have good music. This remix from the third Lolo game is in the style of a Sousa march. If you've heard "The Stars and Stripes Forever" (and I'm sure you all have, even you didn't know what it was) and liked it, then you'll feel right at home here. The remixer even follows the traditional march form, adding an extra bit of authenticity to the mix. And his samples sound really good! Low brass, especially, is vital in a Sousa march and the sounds are spot on. This remix is very bright and cheery, so it's sure to lift your spirits even if you're already in a good mood. So grab a funny, overly-plumed hat and let's get marching!

Feels like something I would march to.

Never heard of the Lolo games. This track is pretty fun though.

Yeah, HAL pretty much abandoned them once Kirby came along, which is a shame from what I hear. I think there was a Lolo trophy in one of Smash Bros games but that's about it. Glad you liked the track Smile

Very nice. Kinda reminded me of Kirby, which is fitting because as you said, HAL also made the Lolo games.

Yeah, similar character designs too. They should do a Kirby/Lolo mash up! I don't know how that would play though lol

I was really into the Lolo games when I was a kid.  I don't think I have the patience for them now!

The Lolo games are ones I feel that I should play because they were important at the time and, you know, they were pretty good...but also hard. I remember reading somewhere that the counselors on the Nintendo Power tip line (or whatever it was called) had binders with all the solutions drawn out because it was so difficult.

meh it's okay. But I have to admit that I haven't played this game either so tehre are no fond memories for me to link this song to.

I think it stands pretty well on its own as a piece of music. And it's so cheery Smile
