Full sail ahead to AWESOME!

Full Mast

From: Zelda: The Wind Waker

Remixed by: Preenus (Jake Kaufman, Snappleman)

After spacing out last week and forgetting to post something, let me get this OCR ball rolling again. How about some epic piratey orchestral rock? A remixer duo brings us this collage of sound from The Wind Waker. This song starts out with the sound of ocean surf and island-esque instruments but electric guitars quickly swoop in and steal the show. There's a ton of energy here and a ton going on. If you listen multiple times, it's easy to pick up things that you missed before. The arrangement is varied and inventive throughout but it's by Jake Kaufman, so those of you familiar with his work won't be surprised by its quality. The instrumentation is a great pair with the adventurous themes of Wind Waker. Makes for a very energetic and uplifting piece. Definitely not one to miss!

Love this one! It's quality work, sounding beautiful, piratey, and intense throughout its length. Jake Kaufman never disappoints.

I know! As soon as I saw his name on this one, I had to get it.

Prefer the original without cheesy electric guita ... wait, this sounds a bit like Pirates of the Carribean, and the guitars don't bother me as much. Sold. I even really like the riff starting around 3:15 and the solo that follows it.

Nice song Philip. It almost sounds like Zelda metal. If such a thing existed. Cool

these songs always confuse me. First it sounds like it would be something I could enjoy listening to while I'm at the beach then suddenly it goes into "pirates of the Carribean" where i want to attack the first beach goer I find with a stick!

Then i go into full exploration mode where i want to visit an old decomissioned lighthouse I know of back on the east coast.

Then it goes all hardcore witht he guitar where I'm just lost in the music.

I'm either easily confused or I need to try to be on the high seas more often.

You might be suffering from high seas withdrawal. You could get some sea salt at a health food store or something and mix up your own "sea water." Maybe splashing some in your face would help. Also, rum and yelling "yo ho!" as loud as you can (in that order). Or yeah, maybe you're easily confused Tongue Out
