Good Morning fellow gamers.  Im not at work today because I've been feeling so bad health wise that when I got to work I called the doctor and they said to come in today at 1:00. and the funniest thing happened. As soon as I got home and got into my room and got comfortable and brought my dog in the room with me....I feel 100% better! another Festivus Miracle!  But really, isnt it wierd how after you know you're going to the Dr you suddenly feel better?

Gaming:

I am in a gaming Funk. No matter what I sart playing I suddenly decide I want to play something else. I've been game leap frogging for over a week now.  I bought Crysis 3 from PSN store for $5.00. I already have Crysis 1 and 2. I never finished Crysis 1 and I have only played a few levels off C2.

I love the series and the concept of the game,  its just that I got to a point in Crysis 1 where I got stuck and stopped playing. And here is even the weirdest part. Im a Freaking Perfectionist....or completeist or I dont know what to call it. But I do not want to play Crysis 2 or 3 unless I play and finish Crysis 1. I cant help myself. Even If I have played a game almost to the finish but stopped playing for a month or so.....I have to restart from the begining of that game before I try to finish.

Im sorry but its just the way I am and I dont know how to stop from doing that. So I have to restart Crysis 1 from the beginning and finish it and then play and finish C2 before I start C3. Even though I've played a little of C3 and it seems like a fun and awesome game.

Also I stated replaying Red Dead Redemption but I know it will take me months to finish the game. That is why I may Never buy a PS4.

I also bought Puppeteer. this game is so weird and wacky but it is so much fun but Im not gonna play it until I can devote all my gaming time to it and play it from start to finish. I got it for $7.00 and from just the 2 levels I've play I highly reccommnend it. Also I have Brothers: A tale of two son.  This game is really fun and very unique. You control 2 brothers on a quest to find some medicene for their father. The strange and fun part about the game is you control both brothers at the same time. the left stick controls one brother while the right stick controls the other brother. It can get pretty difficult when you must manuver both across jumps and ravines and stuff like climbing and jumping can mess with your mind. the stroy seems awesome but its in a language I dont understand. Anyway, the setting is beautiful and the graphics are awesome and the puzzles are just down right fun! the music is really really good too. check it out.

I can tell right now Im not gonna complete BaD so I'll blog and comment when I can.

Ya'll keep blogging and gaming and I'll see you on the Far side!

I completely understand this funk.  I am experiencing it right now as well.  I just need to sit down and finish a game, even if it is a game that I have beaten countless times at this point.  I think that will help.

I get the having to complete the original before moving on to the sequels thing. I had this with Uncharted and is the reason I'm yet to get into the Mass Effect series. Why do we do this to ourselves? haha

I almost bought Crysis 3 when it was 5 bucks but resisted the urge because A: I haven't played either of the others and B. I'm not really an FPS player.

Puppeteer is fun but after playing act 1 I stopped for a while and when I restarted I couldn't figure out the controls to get off the first screen of act 2. I'm going to need to start again.

I haven't started Brothers yet. I should take a break from all these 100 hour RPGs and play some games that only take a few hours. Well at least that is what I keep tellig myself. :)

hope you continue feeling better!

I forgot about Brothers, but it's on my Steam wishlist.

I know what you mean about having to play games in order if they're in a series.

Dude, I totally get where you're coming from.  I can't play sequels to games that I haven't finished if I happen to own them.  I'm still in the middle of Final Fantasy 7...and I'm about to restart it from scratch if I forget what I was doing.

You'll get around to Crysis whenever you darn well please.

I get into that funk sometimes, especially when I don't have a new game to focus my attention on.

I used to be that same way when it came to not playing sequels to a game I haven't finished yet, until Metroid Prime came around. I couldn't beat the last boss even though I made attempt after attempt. Eventually I gave up and started Metroid Prime 2, with the added pang of guilt over not having even seen the ending to the first.

I get that funk a lot of times too, which is the fault why I have a lot of my backlog uncomplete. I don't mind playing a sequel before the original game (like with Metroid Prime, where I play the three games together), though for some cases I also prefer to play the original game first before going to a sequel.

The Crysis games were on sale on Xbox 360 recently. I'd like to play them, but I held off buying them for the moment.

Gamer ADD. So many of us suffer from it. OCD is why you have to play games in order. I have that, too. Which is why I own almost all the Final Fantasy games and have never played most of them.

I played Crysis for the first time this year.  I didn't get too far.

That's why I don't ever go to a doctor. The moment I get back I start to feel better. Very odd.

I got my copy of Crysis cheap of XBLA and I haven't really touched it since I got it. I understand the concept and it plays well but I hate the fact that enemies can spot you, and shoot you with pinpoint accurcy even if you are hiding behind a bush with cloak on. Very annoying!
