Gusty Piano in a Garden

From: Super Mario Galaxy

Remixed by: Squint

Here's another quick, low-key piece, folks. This is the iconic song from Super Mario Galaxy remixed for solo piano. It starts out as a fairly straightforward arrangement and would have been a very good one if it had just stayed that course and finished out, but in the song's last minute it wanders into jazz territory and that really makes it special. It's not very long but it's an enjoyable, chill ride while it lasts. And hey, that's such a fantastic melody Laughing

I like it, but i cannot seem to be able to picture it along with Super Mario Galaxy.  Granted, I do like a lot of piano stuff.

It would seem odd to play the game with this going in the background but it's a good song on its own.

It just means that I need to boot up Galaxy so that I can remember this song.

i can picture this with Mario.  despite it's arrangement it sounds like Mario to me.  Of course, I can also picture it in a piano bar.

The question is, what is Mario doing in a piano bar?

"Sing us a song, you're the piano man. Sing us a song tonight. Well we're all in the mood for a melody and you've got us feeling alright."

Or maybe he's a sad Mario pining for Princess Peach.

" It's quarter to three, there's no one in the place but you and me. So set 'em up Joe, I've got a little story you aughta know. We're drinkin' my friend to the end of a brief episode. So make it one for my baby, and one more for the road."

I went from piano bar to piano man and then directly to lonely guy singing in a bar. LOL

That's the Sinatra my dad brought me up on as a kid in England. Represents the roots of my love for music.

I'm hearing this as in some kind of cut scene in a Zelda game. Link is sitting on Epona on a hill top on Hyrule field watching the sunset. . . Oh, I heard a bit of the Mario Bros. theme at the end.

I suppose any calm situation would do. But how about Super Zelda Galaxy? Wink

One of the best songs in the history of ever (the original, that is). I love solo piano pieces!

Have you heard the one this guy did from Chrono Trigger? The second one, that is. It's good too. Very relaxing.

Ah yes, the Glenn one. Very beautiful! One of my favorite solo piano pieces on OCR!

Good one. I especialy liked when it started to get jazzy.

This guy also has a jazzy rendition of the ending theme from Chrono Trigger. You'd probably like that one too Smile

Not bad. But I didn't catch the jazz themes at the end. I guess I'm not that well attuned to what jazz is musically. Unless it's in a castlevania rendition, which of course I hate.

Well as long as you didn't hate this one, right? Tongue Out Admittedly, jazz can be hard to nail down. Depends a little bit who you talk to. But since you're talking to me, trust me, it's there.
