GameFly & Hulu Trial

Posted on 04/19/2017 at 11:34 AM | Filed Under Blogs

Since I'm catching up reading the oldest blogs to the newest you might have already played a couple of those games so I'll leave those comments to the newer entries. Hulu is such a solid service except I couldn't justify paying for content that has the same ads. Now they offer the ad less service but I'd rather just stick to Netflix.

Shame about that program. I wonder if you could talk the IT guy into letting it slide and just explaining you already bought the service.

Let's Talk PCs, Part II

Putting it in a shell with actual joysticks would be awesome. My setup was just a USB controller, with an extension so I could play it while sitting on the couch.

So Zero Games Off Mount Backlog In March, And What I've Been Playing

That's interesting about Power Rangers being older than Voltron. I always thought Voltron was older because my first Voltron toy was the Yellow Lion from Japan. I got it from a store in Hawaii and it was a year before the toys started showing up here. The one difference was that the weapons in the head and on the back actually shot the little missiles it came with. It had the spring mechanism.

I like that Japan story about the Green Ranger. It's cold, but I could see their side.

I think what's selling me on Injustice 2 is the talk about the mobile game on Reddit. Seeing some of the screens is slowly pulling me into the hype for the console version.

I miss when desktops looked like that Intel, and monitors were huge. I had a Packard Bell 233 that at the time was the fastest thing in my dorm. When the hard drive crapped out a guy from Sears came over and replaced it. When my dad bought it he said no games on it. I eventually bought Sim City 2000 with the kit that let you edit your town, Command and Conquer Red Alert, MK II, and this fighting game with robots from a Toys R Us bargain bin.

I might still have one of those Dell computers. My mom's company was selling them for $25 when they upgraded and she picked one up. I used it as a Mame machine.

I never really played computer games (other than the story about my elementary school) until I got my first desktop in college (WOOOO Sim City/MK II, and Command and Conquer). I do remember those boxy Apple Mac Plus computers. My roommate in college had one, and the funny thing is the first computer lab in my dorm had like five of those things. If we wanted to use something more modern we had to go to one of the computer labs on campus.

Oh wow that's the computer from elementary school that we played Oregon Trail on. My school had a funky dark room that was turned into its first computer lab and I think on Thursday's we had maybe 30 minutes as a class to go in, learn about computers, and then play some Oregon Trail.

Persona 5 Steelbook Incoming

That's a nice steelbook. You know what bugs me, if companies want folks to shell out extra bucks for a steelbook how about throwing in a manual. I get the DLC and other goodies are nice, but cases look empty with at least a piece of paper in that manual spot.

Finished Halo 3, Started Halo 4

Maybe I should tackle Halo 1-4 over the summer. I think you're selling me on the games. It's a shame the series kind of lost you around the release of this game.

Some true statements

Viva Pie Charts! psst lots of respect for saving. Regardless of how much you make you are at least putting some aside for a rainy day.

After reading what you wrote I should ask Google if she is also working with the CIA, like Siri, and Amazon's Alexa.

Good to see you have a certain way things need to be done in your class. It teaches your students to be responsible. I am jealous that they can turn in work on a Flash Drive. *old college moment* Back in my day I had to turn in projects in a Manila Envelope with the work, a notebook with the details about my work, and if I needed to either a floppy/Zip Disk of my work.

I understand what you said! I also read it in Hagrid's voice when he told Harry he's a wizard. You know many words, the best words!
