That is a dizzying list of platformers! I played the Boy and His Blob remake on Wii and quite enjoyed it. I imagine that is a smoother experience than the original.
There is a Wonder Boy collection for the Switch (and I assume the other consoles) that has The Dragon's Trap, if you're interested. And there was the remake that is supposed to be quite good!
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is not your cup of tea, Cary? Mine either. X-Out looks like fun though. And it's so cool that you can get Nintendo LEGO sets now! But even more so than the cost (which is definitely a factor), I just don't have anywhere to put LEGOs these days.
Those PC games sound interesting! The orignal Devil May Cry is the only one I have played, though it was at least a decade past its release date by then. It's good but it reuses bosses with cranked up difficulty, which is annoying.
Hey, I recognize some of these! I played them on Capcom and Taito collections for Blog-a-Day. I wrote this about Magic Sword on Backloggery:
"In some ways Magic Sword feels like a continuation of the ideas in Black Tiger but I liked it much better. Some things are streamlined (e.g., no shop) and the floors of the tower are simpler in their layouts but the action feels better and the myriad helper characters add some nice spice. Good enemy variety and solid tunes make for a fun adventure. I just wish I could have played it co-op."
Like Cary, I remember liking Arabian Magic and Dungeon Magic but I would have to dig through my old blogs to see what I said about them. I was not thorough with those collections on Backloggery.
Ooh, Adventure Mode sounds cool!
And I probably will! I played the Super Famicom Picross game.
The Monkey Ball subtitles are just the most arbitrary things lol
That's so cool about how the Pac-Man World 2 devs sent you a signed copy of the game after you lost that newspaper job. Always great to see some kindness in the world!
I have a little stockpile of downloaded Picross games right now, but I will definitely be getting Piczle Cross: Rune Factory game at some point.
Man, I might have to check out Catagrams. I do like word puzzles and cats.
