Man, anything that interrupts a run through Star Fox 64 is a bummer, it's such a great game. I wanna get the 3DS rerelease but the game doesn't seem to be coming down in price at all But anyway, I hope you're able to resolve your N64 woes.

Definitely going with BioShock Infinite. As you said it's a little early to call this but that's such a great game.
Yeah, it's a great arrangement. Glad you liked it!
My wife played Folklore last year (on my recommendation, 'natch) and really liked it, though she never did finish it. I haven't played it yet but I'd like to. Definitely does that dreamy fairy world thing very well. And I'm confident that the only reason the sixaxis controls are prominent in combat is because Sony published the game and in 2007 when this came out Sony was still defending their choice of sixaxis over rumble. That same thinking killed Lair and Factor 5, unfortunately. I'm glad Folklore still turned out so well.
Yeah, a long blog here today but lots of good stuff here. My wife snagged a new copy of Fallout 3 GOTY edition from some website for $10. I haven't started it yet of course lol. How long was your total playtime?
I love those GBA and DS Castlevania games!
How did you snag a free download of Crysis? I have Crysis 2 in my backlog and I'd like to play the first game but I don't want to pay $20 for it on XBLA lol. You can't beat free games!
Finally listened to this podcast (I had a lot of driving to do today). It was a wonderful close to the era of 1UP, an excellent cap on its legacy. I loved hearing from so many familiar people, hearing behind the scenes comments. There was a lot said about The 1UP Show and I had forgotten what a great show it was (glad it's getting preserved on youtube!). And the Retronauts kickstarter! I hadn't known about that. Retronauts was my favorite part of 1UP and I actually listened to every episode of the podcast.
I really do like PixlBit and I think some of the blogging tools here are better than what 1UP had but I'll always miss that old site. Especially during its heyday, 1UP was unique and I doubt the internet will ever see its like again.
Wow, nice. I especially like your Snake Man. I'll have to check out your deviantART page when I get a chance.
That's a good list. I agree with you on all counts. I just finished Infinite the other night and I really liked it, including the ending. Now that I know the whole story I'd like to go through it again sometime to see how it fits together as you go.
I have not played either of the Souls games before. Not sure what kind of build I want but I started as a Knight, so mostly physical melee stuff I guess.
You should put a little blog of Demon's Souls tips. I just started it last night and wouldn't mind a few pointers lol
