I think you just need to give it more time. The majority of the exciting current gen games you mentioned weren't announced near the reveal of the consoles. I understand not being ready for next gen, I feel that there's still so much life left in the current consoles and its a shame the industry is ready to move on already. But I wouldn't worry too much yet about no ambitious new games being made.

My life isn't complete until I get Kingdom Hearts 3. Seriously though, I'm kind of excited too but I played this game so many times back in the day it's difficult for me to feel all hyped over it. And screw Chain of Memories and the stupid mechanic of needing a certain randomly dropped card to unlock doors. 

But who am I kidding, as soon it's in my PS3 and I hear Dearly Beloved at the title screen I'll probably drop a few tears of nostalgia :P

Nope! Not this time, Ubisoft. No amount of hype or glowing reviews will convince me to waste my money this time >:O

I feel like I must be dreaming. This is such great news.... Xenoblade Xenoblade Xenoblaaaade!!!.....

I wasn't terribly interested in this one at first but now I feel like I'm missing out on something amazing. I don't think I've heard of one person who has played Skyrim and not liked it. I would buy it now but Skyward Sword must be played first :)

I'm glad to see you're very honest with your reviews, Jesse. I know that a lot of people can find quite a bit of enjoyment in this game but in the end I felt it was so overhyped thanks to a CG trailer that had nothing to do with the gameplay.

They over sold the amount of Forza 4 Collectors Editions and had to cancel a ton of preorders. They also didn't have enough copies of the limited edition Dark Souls for those who reserved it. Originally I wanted the book also but I'd rather not risk it :(

I must have this. This means I'll have to cancel my preorder at Best Buy though, there's no way I'm trusting them with a CE after the Dark Souls and Forza 4 Limited Edition incidents. I'll just have to live without that hardcover book.
