Players will have to wait longer for virtually painted breasts.
Gamers were expecting to slash through the jungles in Far Cry 3 this September but Ubisoft announced today that the release date has been pushed back.
Instead of being only available at Microsoft stores, the plan is now available at bigger outlets.
Almost two months ago, Microsoft announced its contract plan for a 4GB Xbox 360 with Kinect. For $99, you could buy the console along with a two year subscription to Xbox Live Gold and pay $14.99 monthly. Microsoft then announced its plans to bring this deal to retailers other than its own Microsoft stores and today they have announced that GameStop and Best Buy will offer the contract plan effective immediately.
ESRB listings point to a PS2 Classics release.
Two ESRB listings have leaked what appear to be upcoming PlayStation 3 rereleases of Grand Theft Auto 3 and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Neither Rockstar nor listed publisher Sony have announced anything, though this is the second time in 2012 the two games have been listed by the ESRB, following a similar leak back in January.
The collection of thatgamecompany games will also include some extra content.
Further details on last week's announced Journey Collector's Edition have been revealed. It seems that we won't have to wait long for the compilation of flOw, Flower and Journey as it will hit store shelves in August as previously speculated, specifically August 28, 2012. The first disc-based release for thatgamecompany will be released in conjunction with Sony's Santa Monica Studio, will retail for $29.99 and will come packed with some interesting extra features.
Available now for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, 3DS, and DS.
A simple game is not a classic game.
The trend of retro style games the last several years is something I can normally support, at least when game makers actually figure out how to capture what made old games so great. 99Seconds tries to harness the magic that kept early gamers rolling quarters into cabinets, constantly vying to get their name in the top ten. Although 99Seconds appears to be on to something at first, spending time with the game reveals that there is no real hook and it fails to instill the desire to wear your thumb raw for the sake of a high score.
Remember when the shoot-dodge was your best bet for success?
Max Payne 2 was a game that did two things amazingly well: it provided a dark, deep, and gritty story that was accentuated by its film noir approach, and it offered unique third person shooting that was unlike anything else thanks to the bullet time system. Max Payne 3 brings both back, but neither is executed to the degree of excellence seen in the past iteration of the series.
