No, not that Megatron.
For the second year in a row EA has put the Madden cover honors to a bracket styled vote – a concept that sparked some controversy last year when running back Peyton Hillis of the Cleveland Browns won out over the polarizing Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick. This year proved to be less exciting and we expect that there won’t be as much disgruntled grumbling this year as Calvin “Megatron” Johnson has been awarded the cover of Madden NFL 13.
GSC Gameworld is no more, but a new project rises from the ashes.
We reported late last year that GSC Gameworld, the developer of the popular shooter S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was closing its doors, and production on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was ended. Then about a month later there was word that things were going well, and the team was back to work on the game. Well, it is now official: GSC Gameworld is dead, as well as the game called S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. It’s not all bad news, however, as the people that comprised the core team have started a new studio.
The X-Play Host is parting with the network after 14 years.
Adam Sessler, host of X-Play and editor-in-chief of game content for G4, has left the cable channel after 14 years. Rumors indicate that his departure was due to a contract dispute and the departure may not have been amicable. If you happened to have missed them, Sony will be sweetening the deal if you're in the market for a purchase. An Amazon listing has revealed a collection of the three PS3 Resistance games, which comes alongside an official Sony announcement of a Game of the Year edition of Uncharted 3.

Fingers crossed for a black and white option.
With the upcoming release of The Walking Dead, developer Telltale Games has a lot to prove. Not only do they have to reestablish consumer faith in their products after the lackluster reception of Jurassic Park, but they have to create a game that appeals to both the audiences of the Image comic book and the wildly popular AMC television show. Beyond that, this is the first M rated game from the normally family friendly company. A lot is riding on this game, and it will be up to the fans to decide how well Telltale fares. So far, it looks like they have things well in (zombified) hand.
