I put Film Snob on the shelf for now. The last film I watched and just thoroughly enjoyed was GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY on blu-ray. It's so colorful and pretty to look at.

TV Time

I don't know what is happening with the Walking Dead nowadays. Rick Grimes goes from normal to psychopath on a flip of a switch and just openly talks about killing people because their bad people? During the preview for next weeks episode one of the characters asks if he's doing it all on purpose for whatever reason? I just don't know? I guess that's what the show is. Everything changes in a second. I actually missed a couple of minutes of the show last week and didn't notice that one of the characters was killed? He was barely mentioned this episode too.   I was pretty shocked by last weeks Flash episode too. I couldn't believe they killed a character off the way they did. I saw the twist coming but not the actual death. I hope they keep that stuff up. Once Upon A Time starts off good at the beginning of the season and towards the end and the middle kind of goes off on a tangent, but still fun to watch. Last week we had a lot of Maleficent dragon so it would have been hard to top that one week later. An Ursula very special episode? Not quite. I also started watching Penny Dreadful. Its quite dark and gothic and it's very ME. I'll keep watching.

Games

(Hyperdevotion Noire PSVita)
The Secret World got an update where they made it easier to level classes so you can get through areas a lot faster and see the whole story of the game if you are solo player. I've been diving back in to see if this is true. I've also been playing Hyperdevotion Noire on VITA and it's pretty good, not great, but good. It's like Final Fantasy Tactics or Disgaea but with chibi art style and it look really great on the VITA screen. I've also been playing Atelier Shallie on PS3, and honestly, I think I've found a new favorite genre. The game revolves around crafting, and requires you to make everything in the game, from items to weapons to armor and it also has JRPG turn based combat that is actually very good. I like the story too. I got Dino Crisis 1 & 2 to dig into on VITA as well as Gravity Rush and then Breath of Fire IV and Klonoa 2

Oh and I'm only up to Episode 4 in Resident Evil Revelations 2. Episode 3 was mostly puzzle based, but not too annoying. The whole game has actually been quite fun, although very linear, but I'm just happy to get a Resident Evil fixing for now. I might do a review later on of the series for y'all.

breath of fire IV is really cool.  great game.  I managed to...resist buying the dino crisis games....

I've wanted to watch Penny Dreadful but I have a hard time focusing on TV.  But if I could, that's what I would watch.

I want Atelier Shallie. The Atelier series has made enough steady improvements over the years that it's become a perfectly reasonable go-to RPG series, especially with so many other RPG series on indefinite hiatus. Glad that Koei Tecmo and Gust are still plugging away. The next Atelier looks like it will be on PS4, going by what Gust has been saying in interviews.

As much as I enjoy the game, it is better suited for a portable experience due to its grinding component. The thing that always deterred me from previous games is the timer limit to do things. This game has no time limit and you can freely explore and take on tasks in any order you want. You can even progress the story without finishing quests. I'd say this would be a great place to begin. I really don't want to go back and play the other ones with the time limits though. I would love a portable version of this game.

I really don't know what is happening on Walking Dead anymore. I mainly watch it now because my wife likes it. I saw Sunday's episode but only bits and pieces. I did see Michonne clock Rick though while he was going full psycho. That was funny.

I like the Atelier series and played the first one back on PS2. I love the Crafting aspects of it. They certainly aren't macho games but they are fun to play.

Well, with walking dead there was that whole scene were Rick throws a guy out his front house window along with himself...? I mainly watch for the special effects and enjoy the zombie kills; some of the characters I like seeing every week like Carol, Daryl and I'm waiting to see the gated community collapse as these things tend happen with Rick and the gang.

Atelier...I've never played them until now. Atelier Shallie has a pretty enjoyable story and two different characters to play the game with, so it's kind of like two games in one. It's really good.

I heard the word atelier in Joyce's Ulysses last week (along with every other word you've ever heard) and immediately thought of the RPG series. I just looked it up, "a workshop or studio, especially one used by an artist or designer."

It's a workshop used by an alchemist in this case.

That's what I was doing in Fantasy Life. I was an alchemist making potions.
