There is the 999 sequel, Virtues Last Reward.

I just started Steins;gate.  Doesn't seem to be much game so far.

I think Steins;gate is supposed to be a true novel in graphic form. Or at least more novel than game. What system is it on? I've heard good things about the Anime too. I keep confusing 999 with Virtues Last Reward and thought they were the same game?

It's been localized to PC last year, though not over Steam. Here you can check it. Aside from that, it's on Vita and I think also on PS3.

My favorite old school point and clicker is Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders.

I'm not too into TellTale's new stuff, but boy I loved their Sam & Max and Wallace & Gromit games.

These are all good ones. I just listed my top 5 off the top of my head. 

I dunno if Ghost Trick counts. It's point and click but not really graphic novel. 

Sure it counts. I guess it's point n click adventure or interactive novel/movie genre.

I'm really tempted to get the new King's Quest. I had bad luck playing Grim Fandango earlier this year though. I'm thinking the genre is not for me. I did play the Tales from the Borderlands game this year and liked it though. Come to think of it. I wonder if I've missed episode 4?

Kings Quest is pretty streamlined and approachable. I think they tried to make the game easier for casuals. I haven't played games in the series before, and I was intrigued by the visual art style. Kind of looks like those Clone Wars cartoons. It's got that 3D cell shaded look like the TellTale games but it's more puzzley adventure than dialog trees from TellTale. Well, I liked it at least. You should be able to get an impression of it on Youtube.

Rise of the Dragon, and Snatcher loved that Sega CD.  

Now, if we're talking about actual Visual Novels (not Adventure or Point-and-click like Kings Quest) and ones i've played, there's the Ace Attorney series (the ones with Phoenix Wright and Apollo justice), Katawa Shoujo and Higurashi: When They Cry. I pretty much recommend them, though each has its variants; Ace Attorney you should know by now has bit more mechanics and gameplay, Katawa Shoujo is the traditional kind of Visual Novel, with branching paths and different endings and Higurashi is actually just telling a story, although I don't know if the recently localized Steam version is the one it's known for or one of the ports that is more like Katawa Shoujo. You should definitely check this to see more of em (though not all visual novels are localized).

As for Kings Quest..... if a rumour of The Odd Gentlemen turns out to be true, then i'm not giving any of my money to the Kings Quest reboot, neither now nor in the future.
