I haven't been playing enough games to really talk about on a daily basis. My blog posts have been dwindling for a while anyhow. Thus, I'm bad at BaD.

I did see Deadpool on Thurs. night and quite loved it. I don't really like Ryan Reynolds and I hated The Wolvering Origins film, so this had a lot to make up for. The thing that actually made me pay for a ticket this time around was Colossus. He hasn't really been featured properly in the films at all, and he is a very memorable character from the X-Men that I always wanted to see done properly. Glad to say he is never human in this film, and he is featured quite a bit throughout the movie. I loved seeing him beat shit up like the Hulk in the Avengers movie, and I would have loved to have seen him done  properly in the Bryan Singer films. The banter between him and Wade, or Deadpool was hilarious and just stupid fun. There aren't really any memorable villains in this film. It's all Deadpool, Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead fucking up all the shit.

Which is another thing. I don't like that Bryan Singer has covered up the X-men in black again? First Class was so neat because they wore the classic colors from comics and made them more in line with the Marvel films and their embrace of original costumes. I like some of the designs for X-Men apocolypse, like Psyloch looks like Psylock, and Storm has that mohawk, but the X-men are back to that ugly black armor that feels more fitting in a generic war film like the Resident Evil films with Milla.

Anyhow, I love the use of colors, or at least an attempt to use original costumes in these comics films. Generic black outfits just irks me. Deadpool would have looked like shit if he were wearing black.

There is an after credits scene in Deadpool where they name drop a specific character for the sequel, and it is a pretty significant name drop. I hope it happens. I really think the director of Deadpool should to take a crack at the other X-Men too.

yeah... I don't understand it.  I was a big xmen fan as a kid, and I just hate everything singer has done to them.  It makes me furious.  Sealed

It's going to happen. Deadpool just broke a ton of box office records for what type of movie it is and performed well beyond expectations. So who plays the character (who I only know of from renting the game Wednesday) is really the only question.

The ... character you mentioned without spoiling it; the one they talked about in the after-credits. I am aware Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool lol.

Yes, that one. I'm hoping for Keira Knightley.

I agree, the Deadpool director should take on X-Men. While I didn't like that Colossus was always in his armored form, he was direct from the comics, and Negasonic Teenage Warhead was wearing a great X-Men uniform. The costuming in Deadpool is perfect, and totally squashes the old "what would you prefer, yellow spandex" joke from the first X-Men movie. I want my X-Men to look like the X-Men, not goth ravers.

Agreed.

I was so tempted to see Deadpool last weekend. It was on the IMAX screen. But I wasn't sure it would be good. Seems a lot of people liked it. Maybe I'll see it next weekend.

I saw it on a regular screen and it was still good. Even the BatmanvSuperman trailer looked great on a regular screen, but IMAX for that!

At first I liked the black uniforms but now I'd like to see a more colorful X-Men Universe. I liked having the uniform look in the first X-Men, but after awhile it got old and I would have liked to have seen Wolverine in his costume. I was mentioning to Super Step that I still haven't seen Deadpool, and hopefully one of the local theaters still has it when I have some free time this week.
