A Return to Saints Row IV

A potentially quick update. I made it back from third world countries and that vacation was amazing. I read significantly more than I had expected and burned through the three books I brought along... Name of the Wind, The Fabulous Riverboat and Darth Plageuis. I played some Downwell, and had fun until I hit the third 'world' or whatever they call them. I also started up Chrono Trigger on Vita and had forgotten how much I love that game.

I had been playing Saints Row IV before we had left on vacation. Since we were out of the country for three weeks, I was expecting to have lost interest in SR IV while we were gone. I was completely wrong. I have been sinking even more time into the game, trying to collect as many trophies as possible. Whenever I look at the trophy list it looks like it has a reasonable trophy... that was until I look at a trophy guide this morning and found out that you need to get a gold trophy in each of the challenges... I don't have the patience for that and so I may burn through the rest of the campaign as soon as possible.

The one big reason that I want to finish up SR IV at the moment is that I downloaded DOOM and really want to play that.

Saints Row IV is great! I actually got all of the gold trophies in the challenges, but I didn't have the patience to go through and do all the other random nonsense that was required to get a platinum.

If you get around to it, Gat Outta Hell is also fantastic, so be sure to check that out too.

I have to double-check but I should have a copy of Gat outta Hell because it was a PS+ game.

I need to get back into Saints Row 4. I was playing it like non stop but took a break before I burnt out. I wish we were getting Saints Row 5.

I knew I recognized the name of The Fabulous Riverboat so I looked it up. I read that whole series! It's got its flaws but it's a lot of fun. Cool!

After really enjoying To Your Scattered Bodies Go, I was a little disappointed and annoyed with The Fabulous RIverboat. Not sure if I will end up finishing the series.

Yeah it's a slog sometimes. But still kinda fun. The ending is a bit disappointing though.

I read that series too back in High School. Don't remember much of it but I did like it.

I was 2/3rds through Saints Row IV on Xbox 360 when other things got in the way. I should get back to it sometime but I'm totally invested in the current gen at the moment. Was there a version for XBO/PS4? I seem to think so.

Yes, they ported it to PS4/XBOne. It should be fairly cheap at this point.

When I go back to it, I'll have to get the XBO version. I wonder if my save will carry over.
