I don't have much time at the moment.  I just wanted to say hello, complain about how work is hampering my ability to blog, and give a brief gaming update.

I don't necessarily remember what I was playing the last time I wrote anything.  I assume I had started DOOM, and I am still playing through it.  That game is just too big and my desire to collect everything is making it take forever to finish.  I had also spent some time with Shiren the Wanderer on Vita and that game was a blast to play.  I do enjoy the more classic style rogue-likes, compared to Rogue Legacy or Spelunkly...

I grabbed a couple new games this week that I cannot wait to play, The Last Station and Bears Can't Drift?  I don't actually know if they are any good at the moment, but they both looked awesome to me, so I decided to just go in blindly...  hopefully that doesnt bite me in the ass in the future.

As far as the rest of the year, The Bioshock Collection is all that I am looking forward to at the moment.  I love Bioshock and Bioshock 2 so much that I cannot wait to re-experoence them.  I also cannot wait to finally play Minerva's Den...

That's all I have right now, I am pretty tired, eventhough it is only 930 local time.  Sorry if this was incomprehensible jibberish, until next time...

hey nice to hear from your man!  "BEars Can't Drift?"  what is that?

I'm sitting here watching that insane ass Noah movie that came out a few years ago. It's wack. And great!

Its a kart racer made by a single guy and is supposed to be heavily inspired by Crash Team Racing.

I just heard Doom was like in the top ten in sales for XBO for the year or something like that. I'm glad it's doing well. It'll probably mean we'll see more in the future.

I am quite pleased with what Bethesda is doing, in regards to publishing, with id's catalog.  The games are amazing, and I cannot wait for the New Order sequel.

I recently played through Bioshock 1&2 and what I recall reading online is that the remakes are pretty similar to original in terms of quality. I played on PC with high settings back in the day so I might be mistaken, but I honeslty feel like Bioshock 1 at least is worth a yearly replay or revisit because it is just so gosh darned good. Also, are you not a FF15 fan? I've been waiting like 15 years for that release. Aren't you the least bit curious?

For me, I need to play both Bioshock and 2 back to back.  It just prefer it that way.

I am not this biggest FF fan, but I am looking forward to FF XV.  I decided back during Bioshock Infinite's pre-release coverage to pay less attention to a game until it is out.  Bioshock Infinite was very different from the first gameplay trailers to the game I actually played.  So, I have been following FF XV in a very casual sense.

Makes sense. I have to start looking at BS1&2 being played back to back from now on. I get what you mean about waiting on a final release, (No Mans Sky), but I honestly really enjoyed Type 0 so I feel like ff15 is in good hands.

FF Type-0 was really good. I loved it. And I like what I've seen of FFXV. Can't wait.

I never got around to Type-O...  definitely would have preferred it on Vita.  Outside of that, I am not really worried about FF XV.  Once they took Nomura off the project and it became XV I think that I actually sighed in relief.

My wife is excited to get the BioShock Collection which will give me another reason to finally play BioShock 2. It will be great to have all the DLC as well. Right now I'm immersed in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and loving it.

I wish I had time fro Deus Ex at the moment.  I loved Human Revolution.  The one thing that really stuck in my mind about that game was the recall of a chip that you had upgraded earlier in the game.  I remember that the game made it sound like a mandatory recall, but I didn't do it and the game kept going.  If I am not mistaken getting the chip replaced caused you to glitch out during one of the boss fights.

Not replacing the chip caused you to lose your HUD, if I am not mistaken, but I still marveled at the fact that it wasn't something that I had to do eventhough the game made it seem like I had to go in for the recall....

my memory is a little fuzzy, so I could be wrong about some of the details.

Your memory is pretty accurate. If you go in for the recall, you have to fight one of the late game bosses in an impaired state (no HUD, messed up visuals, etc.). That's what happened to me when I played Human Revolution the first time. When I played the Director's Cut at the beginning of this year, I skipped the recall and the boss is flabbergasted when the glitch doesn't work. It was a great touch for sure Smile Hopefully the new one will have some equally smart moments.
