Duh Doy. Nobody likes this game.

Being sandwiched between 1 & 3 in HD collection makes it stand out more. 

It's also extremely easy because of how broken it is. I love 1's atmosphere though, but 3 is definitely far more fun. 1 maintained a lot of the RE atmosphere.

The first REAL boss in DMC is not a joke either. You really have to get good at the game to kill it if you are underpowered. DMC1 enivornments are beautiful and amazing. 

I don't know if i ever played that or just first one.

HD collection goes on sale on psn store all the time. 3 games for price of 1.

I liked Devil May Cry 2, the story was kind of farfetched but my favorite female character in the series came from that game. I typically like games others hate.

I'm doing a replay of the trilogy, but compared to 1 & 3, 2 seems like hallways filled with enemy fodder--no challenge and combat seems lacking. Also I've killed most early bosses with guns, while a boss shows up later as regular enemy with minions that feels lazy and cheap. I don't know. I should finish it firt, but its the weakest of the 3 for sure.

I have never played a Devil may Cry.  I do have the reboot on PC, but don't think my computer can handle it. 

DMC is great, but I think the issue hardcore hans had with it is that it made complicated combat techiniques automated, whereas in 1 and 3, maybe also 4, you had to 'get good' and plan out your strategy more. 1 & 3 in HD collection feels very skill based focused plus 1 is like Resident Evil with a big castle to explore and 3 has creative enemies, bosses and set pieces in comparison to the brown tube filled with trash that is DMC2. Do you like hacknslash? I still love DMC 1 & 3, still good.

Those are all on pc huh?

Not sure about PC. The HD Collection is on PSN, or Disc for PS3. I've seen DMC 4 & new DMC on Steam though.

3 and 4 are on PC, but with 3 you have to download a fan patch to make it work properly. Once you do though it's a blast.

It's been a long time since I've played DMC 2, and I can't remember if I liked it or not. 

I played a bunch of the first one. Got real button mashy. Then I collected the other games in the series but never got to them. I'd check out DMC2 just for kicks. 

Yep, total piece of crap. Why they bothered to include it in the collection is beyond me. It got trashed when it first came out and copies languished in the sale bins for a couple of bucks for ages.
