Did anyone play Resident Evil Revelations?

I'm curious what people think of it (Revelations1)since it's the only RE game that I just played once, but mostly because I hated playing on 3DS little screen. I'm playing on WiiU and just curious if anyone bought any of the ports and what you think of it overall? I really loved Revelations 2.

On that note, what did you all think of THE LAST OF US? I missed the launch of this game for financial reasons at the time and it fell off my radar. I don't particularly like stealth games and I was under the impression that it was more of a playable movie with stealth. I had a friend bring up this game as being amazing and he rarely ever played any video games but that got him gaming again.

Also, what are your games that you are ashamed you missed playing for whatever reason, financially, lacked console, heard about it but cant get it now or is too outdated, etc. This comes from a recent Retronauts podcast where the hosts lamented not caring too much about amazing 2D castlevanias on portables until they stopped producing them and the series went 3D.

The Last of Us is only stealth in small sections. Gameplay wise, it reminds me of Uncharted mixed with RE4. It's really good and you absolutely need to play it.

I played Resi Evil Revelations on PC and loved it. Though I didn't like it as much on a repeat following.

Im getting Bioshock vibes from the ocean theme and ornate environment. Also some city floating on the water is collapsed with a heat ray from space or something.

whatever happened to the Resident Evil 2 remake/remaster???? Haven't heard about that for a while.  That's my favorite one.

I really liked Revelations on 3DS once I got to play it on my New 3DS XL. The original 3DS screen was far too small

I also wound up with PS3 and PC versions but never got too far with either. Definitely closer to what I expect from an RE game than 5 or 6.

Ya, the mansion/cruiseship feels like Resident Evil 1 mansion. It's very pretty and quite fun. For some reason playing on a bigger TV screen instead of 3DS feels bigger in scope than originally thought. It's more like a console game.

I own revelations 2 on ps+, but haven't played it much.

TLoU has a lot of stealth, but it's not that bad and there's typically a pretty set path of what you're supposed to do. The clickers get annoying though. I didn't think it was amazing, but it is good. Zombie apocalypse (I don't care that they're technically not zombies, it's the same Damn concept) don't really do it for me.

I don't know that there's any game I regret not getting and actually think about that much, but I've always wanted to be able to own all systems in a generation.

I don't own an XBox One, but I'm seeing a lot of sales and backwards compatibility making me want to buy one. I can go back and try things I missed on 360 too. I'd be happy if everything just ended up on PC through Steam or whatever. Of course there is emulators.

Revelations 1 feels more like Resident Evil 1, especially because it revolves around Jill and Chris, as RE1 did, and there is a mansion/cruiseship that is very pretty and haunted, like in 1. Also, its a reunion for these two since RE1, or RE5 DLC, sort of. I think Jill was supposed to be partner to Chris in RE5, but they made the female partner black because of blowback from racist charges of the game setting in Africa.

I definitely prefer the Xbox One's downloadable games service to the garbage that is PS Now streaming, but PS4's exclusives make me pretty content with only owning it for now.

So ironically, now that I have the means to buy all consoles in a generation, I don't really see much urge to do so any more.

After all the talk of Far Cry 5 this week, I really regret not playing more of Far Cry 3 and Primal. I was a fan of the series from the first game, just too many games, I guess.
