In no particular order of preference...

1) Monster Hunter World

I've played this series from the beginning and have no issues with controls or complaints of difficulty for beginners, but I'm glad to see a fresh update of the game, complete with more open environments and more accessible controls it seems. Can't tell too much from the trailer. Could have just been a concept trailer and it will all stay the same, but an engine revamp is welcoming. It's still a very niche title and I'm not sure how it will be received, but I was SHOCKED when I saw the announcement and surprised it exists at all. I was and am still looking forward to the Switch release hopefully, as I've been playing the WiiU one forever and it's great playing on portable and small screen.

2) Samus Returns

We've had 3 awesome 3D Prime games and a 4th next year, but glad to see some love for the 2D versions as well. Hopefully, if Nintendo sells enough copies, they'll make more 2D metroids for us to enjoy in the future. I've seen people complaining about the 2.5D perspective in the game, which brought back memories of Other M, but I'm glad to see this gameboy sequel finally getting updated at least.

3) Evil Within 2

I remember people mostly complaining about the "black bars" on the screen and too close over the shoulder camera, and frame rate issues when the game released. I played the game well after it released with camera altered to fill the screen and not much frame rate issues, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and mood of this game. It seemed more like a greatest hits of 90s survival horror stitched together with a strange mix of psychological and supernatural elements added in. Very interesting to see where else they take the sequel or if it becomes a legit series on it's own. I loved it enough to want more after playing. Also, I love this genre!

4) Shadow of the Colossus

This is one of my favorite games of all time, next to Souls games, and I'm glad too see it being remade again for more people to enjoy. I own the original and HD remake on PS3, but it is a very moody and atmospheric game so I think presenting it with better textures will make this game feel more immersive.

5) Xenoblade 2

I'm still a fan of the original on Wii, and I still play through the wonderful open world thats in X on WiiU. Monolith also helped develop ZELDA: Breath of the Wild, so I'm excited to see what comes next after X. Although X was more of an MMO than the original, with silent protagonist and story content that you could progress at your own pace, I'm interested to see if the seemingly more RPGish story driven game 2 is appearing to be.

Of course, I loved a lot more games from E3, but I just picked 5 to save from typing all night.
I'm genuinly interested in:
Metro
Wolfenstein
Farcry
Assasins Creed
and of course Mario.

What were your favorite picks from E3?

I didn't get to play much at E3, but what I played of Super Lucky's Tale made it my favorite game of the show, think it will be something really special. Also loved Mario Odyssey, Metroid, Dragonball Fighter Z, and am cautiously optimistic on Anthem.

Actually with Anthem, it looks a lot like a more Western Xenoblade, so I'm all in! I love the action MMO on alien planets and it looks super pretty. Don't remember if it was a co-op game or single game from presentation? If I can explore alone, I'm all in!

Is Super Lucky an X exclusive? I asked before on here if X games were backwards compatible with S and One.

X isn't getting any exclusives, it's like the PS4 Pro.

As someone who never played SotC, but constantly heard it being lauded as an art game around its release, I'm super excited for that one especially.

SotC throws you into a world without much explanation aside from a quest to hunt and kill colossi. There isn't much of tutorial if any and your sword acts as a compass to your next location. Thats basically it. You get a bow and sword as your only weapons and a horse to get around, but you have to find and figure out how to kill everything on your own. I haven't seen many games today that let you jump in and figure things out on your own freely aside from maybe sandbox games. Also, the world is enormous as are the bosses, while there are also smaller ones, but it was a technical marvel at the time on PS2. This will be amazing and this game needs to be reintroduced to new people forever.

I liked a lot of the games shown but when I saw the Wolfenstein II trailer, that instantly became my favorite so far. I still have some more to watch though.

Metroid: Samus Returns on 3DS looks great. I just hope they do a hard copy so I can rent it.

Wolfie 2 looks bonkers! I enjoyed the previous games on PS4 very much! I don't mind more games in this universe.

I'm so excited for it. I still new to play Wolfenstein Old Blood, the standalone DLC for New Order. I'd also like to play New Order again on XBO, since I originally played it on X360.

What, no Kirby? :)  I'm looking forward to the 2-D Metroid game, too.  Comes out the same day as my birthday!  If you like, you can read more about what games interested me at E3 on my blog.  :)

Holy shit your right! Oops! I fucking love Kirby! Yah, that will be a day one buy from me and makes me exited to get a switch this year for Mario and Xeno!

Yeah, I would have preferred sprites or sprite looking 3D models for Samus Returns. So many of these side scrollers with 3D models look bad to me, because the assets are usually not AAA quality (Rondo of Blood X springs to mind), which they need to be in order to compare favorably to crisp, vibrant "hand drawn" graphics. Like, Castlevania Order of Ecclesia blows Bloodstained out of the water visually imo. Super Metroid and Zero Mission look spiffier than this game, but like you said, at least side scrolling Metroid hasn't been abandoned completely.

I agree with your number one spot. Was my game of the show. Love these games, and PC release?! Current gen graphics ?!! Couldn't have received better game news.

Also interested in TEW2. I passed on the first game because of the lukewarm reception and the try-hard gore. This looks way more intriguing to me. Maybe I'll go back to 1.

that trailer for Evil Within WAS trippy, wasn't it?

Did you see that other full story trailer for EW2? It has way more gameplay and the story seems similar to Silent Hill 1, with the dad going to some wierd place looking for daughter and weird shit happens. THIS is what I've always wanted. A new Silent Hill-like on current console!!! Look for that longer trailer. It's well worth it.

Im excited for Monster Hunter World but the fucking salt levels of the nintendo side is freaking ridiclous. Ive seen so many cry fowl about this not being on Switch but for fucks sake not everything will come to that console. I know eventually we will get Double Cross over here for Switch but until then Ill enjoy MH on PS4 for awhile.

I have never played a metroid title. However I am very interested in the new 3DS game coming so I might get it.

Im gonna have to buy me an Xbox again for the next Ori game. Im quite surprised its getting a sequel but hey thats fine in my book.

Yoshi looks so damn adorable. Im glad to see they already got a Yoshi title in the making. I loved Yarn Yoshi!

The saltiness around MH Switch situation also has to do w/ MH fans not liking the new 'casual friendly' direction of the new game and fear that classic controls and ''getting good" with the game, or traditional challenge will be changed or removed to win over new players. Thus, XX is the true last MH game and people really want it on switch. I don't care either way, as I've always wanted at least a visual upgrade to the game as well as removal of loading screens between map sections. I really need to see the new game show a real hunt to make up my mind, but there are already plenty of MH-like beatem ups that are more casual friendly like Toukiden, for example. I want both new and old to come West.

One of the youtubers I watch said he got to see the demos at E3 and he doesnt think its gonna be changed that much. I do think though that it needs to have a beginner friendly side though. A lot of people dont give it a chance because of how difficult it can be to learn. I used to be one of those people. I really think if MH4 hadnt of been more beginner friendly I woundnt be into the series. I tried playing 3 and it just didnt work. One thing he mentioned is they removed that fucking dumb pose you do when you use a item to recover health. Im glad thats gone. I was literally talking about this on my God Eater review tonight, the community for MH can be so toxic. Thats another thing that hinders it. Its multiplayer focused but half the time you end up with assholes that judge you on how ya play or if you cart.

I mean a lot of MP games are full of assholes. It's mainly that they don't want time wasted by people who don't know what they're doing I guess. Even friends can become assholes and I've read about people losing  friendships because of MP game fights. I expect the same thing will happen with MH if they make match making easier, because I have a hard time doing MP without actually talking to people--but that's me. I mainly solo the games and approach it like going camping and collect armors. My problem with earlier games was mainly loading times. That's what would make me put the game down. Also, not sure if they're keeping timer and inventory caps for story hunts?

Looks like a solid list, and I'd love to play a new 2D Metroid game. As for my list, it is just Forza and God of War. Nothing else really jumped out at me.
