The more that pops up isnt helping them either. I keep seeing that used games can only be played on it unless you pay a small fee for it because apparently the disk bound to your account, how that works i have no clue. Only achievements will transfer over because theres not any backwards compaitibility and the system will not work unless kinect does. At least Sony is giving a cloud streaming option. It might not be the best other then keeping a ps3 but atleast their offering something. I really like GOW and Fable and if I do for those franchises until I have all the other game consoles I want first.

I honestly don't see the rush in running out and buying anything on day 1. MS and Sony won't support backwards compatibility so you will have to pay for new games only, even then if you eventually buy a used game, you will need to pay a fee to do so. They really skipped over all the info on DRM and account lock to software stuff in the smoke and mirrors barnum and bailey circus tent. Just go on Neogaf and read all the comments about people jumping onto PS4 and WiiU for "games". 

All of this is speculative of course. There is lots of flame wars popping up on all the usual video game boards so I don't know what to believe.

I just got home from work so I haven't read anything about the new Xbox announcements.  As soon as it has enough fun games that I want to play, then I'll really be interested.

Looks like the Wii U just got some breathing room, LOL. Not a fan of the xbox's anyway although there are some exclusives for the 360 that I would like to get when everything gets a lot cheaper. Not all that impressed with the Wii U at this point either though. I'm curious to see what Sony brings to the table. I waited a long time to get a Wii and a PS3 so I'm in no rush to upgrade, still got plenty of games to play.

Im not going next gen for at least a year im going to wait till the ps3 drops and get one i have been wanting to check out Valkyrie Chronicles and Ar Tonelico 3 and disgea 3 & 4 etc.

Valkyrie Chronicles is really cool. Very nice mix of strategy and action. The 360 games I wanted to play were Blue Dragon and well I forgot the name, was the other one from Mist Walker. There are few more I just can't think of there names at the momment,lol.

I actually don't mind all-in-one boxes; what I do mind is having to be connected to Kinect at all times, not being backwards compatible (also a PS4 problem) and this cloud-based nonsense sounds fishy to me.

If it doubles as a Quisinart I may get excited! Man,I love me some juice,too. It does seem a bit like they are pandering to a certain crowd. I know how you feel about online gaming in multiplayer,especially COD. Only reason I like to do it is to occasionally enrage or even PWN one of the little snots I encounter. Bronies,racists,Nazi punks,they can all be found on those servers in abundance. It is so much fun to hunt them down and kill them without warning. The reason I love my single player gaming,the way you do also,is to avoid the idiots and just enjoy my game. I'm not anti-social,just anti-douche!

Im really leaning toward the ps4 i mean i love Forza and the Witcher 3 looks tight but im not a Call of Duty kind if gamer and this system seem to be targeting that crowd im more of an Rpg and Strategy gamer and the ps4 has NIS, Shin Megami Tensei and Idea Factory and thats what im interested in but with that said i do hate the idea of leaving Microsoft only because of the 360 of course.

I find it... unusual that Microsoft is planning to launch this console worldwide by the end of the year.  What do they have for Japan?  What aspect of this console, that requires a device - Kinect - that the Japanese couldn't use the first time around, will appeal to them?  This is not going to end well for the X1, especially for those of us who want Japanese games released in the West.  Of course, the big companies like Capcom, Tecmo-KOEI, Konami, and Namco-Bandai will develop for the system regardless.  But the stuff that interests us, the quirky and/or traditional rpgs, will simply not exist on the X1.  Far too many developers were burned on the launch deals with Microsoft, and I can't see them falling for it again.  As it is, NIS and Idea Factory have already discussed their PS4 plans, and there's a good chance other niche developers will follow.  So, I doubt the X1 will see the same level of support that the 360's Japanese launch received, and I don't see it gaining any momentum in Japan at all (again).

And that my freind is exactly why i will be getting a ps4 but that will be at least a year from now cause when they launch the new systems im sure current gen systems will drop in price and im going to get a ps3 cause i really want Valjyrie chronicles and Ar Tonelico 3 and Disgea 3 & 4.

I'm hoping that happens, especially while those games you listed are still inexpensive.  I mean, it doesn't make sense to dive into either of the new platforms considering what is still out there for the PS3 and 360.  Let Sony, Microsoft, and the early adopters sort all the problems out first before we get involved.  We have plenty to keep ourselves busy in the meantime.

Thats the way i look at it i mean i want a ps3 so i can play games like Valkyrie Chronicles and Disgea 1 & 4 Ar Tonelico Qago and Ni No Nun or however you say it so maybe a year or so down the line maybe a new system.
