So after seeing sgt dawkins top 250 list i figured i would see what your top 10 rpgs of all time are, and i will start with mine.

1. Tactics Ogre ( ps )

4. Devil Summoner 1 & 2 ( ps2 )

5. Ar Tonelico 1 & 2 ( ps2 )

6. Dragon Age Origins ( xbox 360 )

8. Dragon Quest VIII ( ps2 )

9. Vandal Hearts ( snes )

10. Final Fantasy VII ( ps )

Damn good list. I'll give you 10 but they won't be in order. Dark Souls, Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines, Final Fantasy VI, Gothic II, Deus Ex, Devil Summoner 2, , Torchlight 2, Planescape Torment, Baldur's Gate 2, Suikoden III

Yeah Aerith dies in FFVII but I like VI better. The fact that the villain actually succeeds and destroys the world half way through the game is just fantastic.

Yea its hard to pick 10 but ffVII was the only game i ever played that made me tear up so i have to go with it i still cant beleive she died. :(

Sadly, I haven't played a lot of good rpgs which are on this list, but here are some of my favorites which I have enjoyed: Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Secret of Evermore, The World Ends with You, Paper Mario, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and Mega Man Battle Network 3.

1. Paper Mario 2. Pokemon 3. Golden Sun 4. Super Mario RPG 5. Final Fantasy X and ... yup, I think that's all I ever played RPG-wise, and the last two were ones I either rented once (FFX) or mostly watched a friend play (Super Mario RPG).

Those are some heavy hitters on your list. I do find it humorous that you listed both Ar tonelico 1 & 2 in the same spot, but considering how the whole trilogy is linked (you need to play Qoga) it does make sense.

Anyway, my top 10 list is a bit of a mess and changes all the time. I simply enjoy too many games, which makes it hard for me to stick to a definitive list. I can give you an idea of my interests, though (which is mostly action rpgs). In no particular order, my top 10 rpgs would include:

Soul Blazer
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
King's Field
Shining Soul II
Crystalis
Ys I & II Chronicles
Ys III: Wanderers from Ys
Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim
Dungeon Siege III

I must admit im a bit surprised by Dungeon Seige III although i havent got very far in it i do find it intersting but not a top 10 well unless theres more to it then i have seen :p

Dungeon Siege III has a ton of gameplay depth. I had the opportunity to really dig into the game over the course of several playthroughs (I played couch co-op with my brother to help him get the Platinum trophy), before buying the game for myself and doing it all over again. All told, I played through Dungeon Siege III twelve times - I even went through hardcore by myself - and I still wasn't tired of it. It's a true-to-form action-rpg (especially when played on hardcore) that places a greater emphasis on player skill and the ability to dodge and counterattack. That's my favorite type of gameplay system, and I was lucky that everything else in the game enhanced it.
