It's good to be home

It's official. I'm making Pixlbit my new home. Once I read that heart-warming "Welcome to Pixlbit" article from Julian Titus, I knew this was right place for me. It demonstrated to me that the writers on this site get it...they really get it. He could have just as easily chosen not to formaly acknowledge the influx of now former 1Up bloggers. But instead, Julian went that extra mile and met us half-way with a warm blanket and mug of hot chocolate, so to speak. I find that kindness to be rare in the world gaming sites (let's see IGN do that!).

Thanks for the warm welcome Pixlbit. It's good to be home!

Jamie, I agree 100%, for Julian to oepnely embrace us refugees from 1UP makes me feel really and honestly welcomed. I think I'm gonna like it here.

I am glad to see more people in those lifeboats make it safely to this Island! while it pains me to know that some I will lose contact with who have gone off the radar or gone into the misty abyss, it makes me so very happy to see so many familiar faces!

I agree. I was a little blown away by the welcome message for us 1uppers. That sealed the deal for me.

I think it sealed the deal for a lot of us. And having them implement that follow system as we all started to roll in, icing on the cake.

I feel all warm and fuzzy inside now. :3

I'm honestly stunned, overwhelmed, happy, and a million other things at the level of activity and friendship I'm seeing. It's almost too much to take in, especially with previews to edit, a podcast to record, and a review in the works. The staff is super energized, and we're on our way to pumping out some great new content for everyone.

I joined before I read the article, just cause everyone had already, but I agree, it made me feel welcome and I share his enthusiasm for old EGM!

Yeah, these guys seem really awesome. This site seems really awesome too. But to be honest, no matter where we were, if the 1up community remained in tact it would feel like home.

Thats exactly what I thought when I saw that warm awsome invitation and its awsome that we all have a new home oh and I find the site way more user freindly then 1 up, but im glad your here and cant wait to start reading your blogs :-)

Nice to see you here Jamie. I'm still having the occasional moment where it's hard to see my laptop screen (damn cold! LOL) but it really helps seeing the familiar faces and I'm happy that many of you didn't change your avatars. Takes the edge off somewhat. :)
