Yup...this is gonna be one of THOSE blogs

As much as I tried to convince myself that I don't care about Final Fantasy Versus XIII anymore, whoops excuse me, Final Fantasy XV, I was just fooling myself. Nothing can compare to that moment when Tetsuya Nomura's face game up with the title "Final Fantasy Versus XIII" director. If I had an Xbox One, I'm pretty sure my Kinect would've exploded because my heart was nearly out of my fucking chest at that point. What followed was probably one of the greatest moments of my life (no, I'm not exaggerating). I'm sorry I know this is a bit of an over reaction, but I just started crying. I can't even tell you why, but it happened. Then I started frantically snapping rudimentary pictures of my computer screen with my phone.

Then it was over.

Or was it?

Nope, because Tetsuya Nomura (crafty bastard) decided to reduce me to an ugly, crying mess with the brief, but totally heartwrenching announcement trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3.

I KNOW, I KNOW, "it's not that serious". But people don't understand. For me it is this serious. Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts are what got me into gaming in the first place. My life would be totally different without these games. I'm sorry, I'm an emotional wreck. I know it's stupid to get my hopes up like this, but hey let a girl dream for a minute.

ALSO, Sony's not blocking used games or requiring and internet connection to play. XBOX GO HOME. YOU FUCKING LOST. IT'S OVER NOW. NO HOPE FOR YOU.

They had me at King... that was all I needed.  Without knowing anything about the DRM, and used game policies.  I knew that I was getting a ps4.  Kingdom Hearts is enough of a reason.

The entire convention is now rendered irrelevant because that was all I needed to hear to get a Playstation 4. That's it. Everything else is of no importance anymore.

I just want to cry tears of joy... but my wife wouldn't understand.  I love the little bit of simple and clean that they snuck into the music.

I did a victory lap and I just am able to breath and see again lol. I am so happy Sony decided to be SMART!

RIGHT! It really makes you wonder what Microsoft is even gonna do at this point!

If you kept up with my posts, I was droppin hints about Versus13 becoming 15 and KH3 was incoming. I was anticipating news about these games and Agito during Tokyo Game Show, so I was surprised. Your emotional response was not over reacting. KH touched a lot of people merging Disney + Final Fantasy and we, FF fans, were waiting for Versus for years. Happy tears. LOL. Cry

I had heard the rumors far in advance (I google search final fantasy every day when I boot up my laptop, don't judge) so I knew it was possible, I just didn't think it would happen. That gameplay looks pretty stellar though.

Not just you. Without FF4 & FF6 I don't think I would be the same person I am now. As for Kingdom Hearts? It didn't have as much impact on my personal development but I still appreciated it! One of my nxt psp purchases will probably be Birth By Sleep.

Ooooh definitely play Birth By Sleep. It's probably the best handheld Kingdom Hearts in my opinion

yeah I'm hyped about this.  Final Fantasy is my crack habit.

Yes, yes, my regrettable crack habit. I don't think I'll ever recover

We've all got our faves, It's good to dream.... just be weary. When Aliens Colonial Marines was released my decade of dreams was broken.... hard. Though I'm sure Kingdom Hearts will be a far more polished game than ACM.

I never understood what everyone saw in that game from the very beginning. I understand the disappointment with the final product, I just don't understand why everyone was on that hype wagon in the first place. It was impressive, but it wasn't a huge deal to me at least. But you could make the same argument for any game I suppose.

Kinda figured you would just lose it over this great news. Hell,I did too. This is beyond huge. This is truly epic and it flat out made my night. Microsoft just got themselves "learned" today I believe.

It was truly a magical moment. I tried to explain my emotion to my parents, but they just looked at me like I'm crazy haha

God I love Sony, which is pretty obvious. And even after all the percieved "screw ups" of the last few years, I had all the faith in the world from the get go.

Hey, I am not as big a KH fan, but I just got a big, dumb, goofy smile on my face from Sony's trolling Xbox One's policies.

That's going to be one of the most famous moments in E3 history I think.

Sony just kicked MS out the fucking window on that conference.

Unlike Microsoft it seems Sony was paying attention to the gaming public. Microsofts arrogance is about to cost them a whole lotta money. I'm sure there are going to be a handfull of hardcore Halo fanboys who will bite. But I think we are about to enter another two system era.

Orly? This is the first I heard of this. Good stuff. Makes sense they would make Versus the next FF. The original footage didn't really have anything to do with XIII's world. About damn time with the KH3. Only took them 10 years (!) and SEVEN prequels/ midquels/ interquels (!!!) to get around to it. And I agree. Xbone go home!

These games! Thank god they aren't xbone exclusives, otherwise I'd never get to play them! The announcement of these two in prticular made my day!

Call me crazy, because I probably am, but on a personal level I think FF15 looks like it could have as big as an impact as ff7 did on me back in the day. It won't revolutionize RPGs the way FF7 did, but I think it's a big enough change/leap to get me very very very very excited. I can't wait for FF15... I didn't like 13, and I know this is sort of the anti-game to 13.

Wish i could have stayed up late enough to get in on this but "Finally!" comes to mind. they've been putting this off for too long, but maybe now we get closure (or at the least good RPGs from SE for a changeTongue Out)

Lol, I feel your feels too. KH and FF got me into gaming as well and when I saw that at school the next day (my mom made me go to bed before it) with my Sqare-Enix fanboy buddy, we almost started crying. And that moment in the 15 trailer when the guy says "For the fifteenth coming" and the logo changes to Final Fantasy 15 we were screaming like little girls and the teacher had to tell us to be quiet. Tongue Out
